We are shouting for joy over here at the beautiful marriage of our very own Regan Brooks (well, now it's Mrs Wolfe!). Regan and her husband eloped in Hawaii recently. Please join us in congratulating the beautiful couple....and stay tuned for a job posting, because Regan will be moving to Hawaii to join her husband soon. Isn't she just the most beautiful bride?

It's time we let you know about our newest mascot. Look for him to be helping us give you advice in the near future....he just has to grow into these ears.

Meet Demarcus!

We have already confessed to this crime, but we figured we'd share it publicly too. Way back in February we stole the denim patches off of our table at the BARK Gala....because, you see, they make the perfect eye patches for these cows with corneal ulcers. We used our first stolen "eye patch" today and this girl is on the mend!

So, thanks BARK for helping the cattle of Bosque County too!

We get it. Your dog is adorable, fluffy, and looks like a giant teddy bear. The human urge to wrap your arms around them and squeeze is almost impossible to resist!

But here is a little secret from the vet world: While we love hugs, most dogs just... tolerate them. 😬

Is your dog a "Hug Hater" or a "Cuddle Bug"? Next time you go in for a squeeze, pause and look for these subtle "Stress Signals." They might be whispering (or shouting) "Please stop!":

👀 "Whale Eye": You can see the whites of their eyes (looking sideways). 👅 Lip Licking: Flicking their tongue when no food is around. 👂 Pinned Ears: Ears slicked back against their head. 🗿 Stiff Body: They freeze up or lean away from you. 😐 The "Kiss to Dismiss": Licking your face aggressively to get you to move away.

"But my dog loves it!" Some dogs do love it! Every pup is unique. But many are just being polite because they love you.

We want to know! Is your dog a HUGGER 🫂 or a HANDSHAKER 🤝? Tell us their personality type in the comments below!

If your dog or cat’s kisses aren’t so sweet lately, it could be more than just stinky breath. Discolored teeth, tartar buildup, or gum irritation are often signs of dental disease, and just like in people, untreated dental issues in pets can lead to pain, infections, and even problems in other organs.

At Clifton Veterinary Clinic in Clifton, TX, our experienced team provides professional dental cleanings designed to protect your pet’s comfort and long-term health. During a cleaning, we gently remove plaque and tartar above and below the gumline, examine the entire mouth, and use dental X-rays when needed to catch hidden problems early, all while your pet rests comfortably under safe anesthesia.

A healthy mouth means a healthier, happier pet with more energy, better appetite, and pain-free smiles for years to come. 💙

📞 Give your furry friend the gift of a healthier smile, call us today at (254) 675-8925 to schedule their dental cleaning or consultation.

Forget the roses and the fancy dinner reservations. 🌹 The purest, most scientifically proven form of love might actually be waiting for you at your front door, wagging its tail.

We all know we love our pets, but did you know there is a biological reason why?

🧪 It’s called the "Oxytocin Feedback Loop." Research has shown that when you gaze into your dog's eyes, your brain releases oxytocin (the "love hormone"). But here is the amazing part: Your dog’s brain releases it too! 🧠✨

⚠️ A Quick Vet Valentine Reminder: While we want to spoil them, remember to keep the chocolates (xylitol/cocoa) and bouquets (especially lilies for cats!) far out of reach. The best treat you can give them is your time (and maybe a pet-safe cookie!).

Who is your Valentine this year? 🥰 We want to see those faces! Post a photo of your "Furry Valentine" in the comments below and tell us their name! 👇
