She doesn't take pictures of herself anymore.
Doesn't dress up just to feel pretty.
The spark she carried dimmed slowly — and now she's searching for the girl she used to be.

And nobody around her fully understands what happened. From the outside she's fine. Still functioning. Still showing up. Still saying the right things when people ask how she's doing. But something behind her eyes changed and the people who really knew her — the ones who remember how she used to light up rooms without even trying — they notice even when they don't say anything. She used to get dressed just because it made her feel good. Used to take pictures not for anyone else but because she was present in her own life and wanted to remember it. That woman existed. She was real. And she didn't leave all at once.

She left in pieces. Every time her feelings were dismissed she left a little. Every time she was made to feel like too much she left a little more. Every criticism that chipped at how she saw herself. Every morning she woke up next to someone who made her feel invisible in the most intimate possible space. Every version of herself she quietly abandoned to keep the peace until one day she looked in the mirror and didn't recognize the woman looking back — not because she had changed physically but because the light behind her eyes had been slowly and systematically put out.

That is what people don't see when they look at a woman who has gone quiet. They see someone who let herself go. Who stopped trying. Who gave up on caring about her appearance. What they are actually seeing is a woman carrying invisible wounds so heavy they changed the way she moves through the world. She didn't stop taking pictures because she stopped caring about how she looks. She stopped because somewhere along the way she stopped feeling worth capturing.

She is still in there. Underneath all of it she is still there.

Waiting for enough safety and enough silence and enough gentleness to finally find her way back to herself. And she will. That spark doesn't die. It just needs the right environment to breathe again. 👑🤍
