Nyla had a meet on Saturday and I had a chance to talk with the family that came for her and another of our dogs. The meet went well, but in the end Nyla just had a bit too much energy for their young daughter. Friend and fellow volunteer Kelly took her out to a yard a little while afterwards, and between the excitement and the heat of the day Nyla and I did not get our walk in. I'm actually happy to say that we won't be walking together this coming Saturday either - for Nyla was adopted yesterday 🥰She is going to have a great life and deserves every minute she'll have with her new dad. Thank you for helping my girl.

What's this? Another Monday morning and our girl Nyla still sits at Lorain County's Kennel, waiting for the forever home she so deserves? Can't be. But it is, and I have to say that Nyla is doing as well as any dog I've seen handle life at the kennel. She's young, playful and full of a joy that's contagious. Our time together this past Saturday was a bit later than usual - but that worked well, for it finally stopped raining and I had the chance to shoot these photos and this video.

This past Saturday afternoon and time with Nyla - what she is still doing in our care is beyond me. A short video, but more than long enough to capture Nyla's spark - that unforgettable uniqueness that makes her who she is, and exactly why we have all fallen in love with.
