One lesson learned while attending the DogCo Summit in Winston-Salem, NC last weekend was that I owe my clients a BIG apology…

As a young business owner w/ a company in its infancy, I automatically prioritized a constant influx of NEW clientele. I was under the impression that I needed more & more people to continuously hire Kenna’s Critters in order to become successful; Whereas I should have emphasized my CURRENT clients (more-so than focusing on the next hire).

Sometimes, I wasn’t available to walk an established client’s dog because I was attending a Meet & Greet w/ a potential client. Often, I was exhausted during a visit from having 10+ new client meetings in one work week (on top of my regular bookings).

This was/is UNACCEPTABLE & it will not continue. Moving forward, I am placing importance on the clients I am so fortunate to already have utilize my services over the need for additional clients. I will commit to growing slowly & steadily. I will scale w/ intention & systematize my movements. I will prioritize Meet & Greets after hours to avoid scheduling conflicts w/ the humans who trust me to care for their pets.

I am beyond grateful for the 100+ families throughout Medina County who have entrusted me in their homes & w/ their animals. My small business is truly a dream come true. THANK YOU to all who have joined me on this journey thus far & those who will continue to accompany me as I grow ❤️
