Any large dog lovers out there? Joseph may be a big guy, but underneath that gorgeous brindle coat is a total softie! 🥰

This 4-year-old Cane Corso mix is an 84-pound teddy bear who loves leaning in close to people for some love and all of the good b***y scratches. He’s a great walking buddy and enjoys getting out to explore. Most recently, he was on the volunteer pack walk and was just the biggest sweetheart!

Joseph is a cool yet sensitive pup who would love a quiet home where he can settle into a routine and get comfortable at his own pace. Once he’s out and about, though, his happy and friendly personality really shines! He’s people-oriented, eager to please, and ready to become someone’s very best sidekick.

Joseph may do well with other dogs and kids pending a meet and greet, and he may be able to live with cats with slow introductions.

If you have room in your heart and home for this big ole lovable guy, come on into the Cleveland APL to meet him!

Need Labor Day weekend plans? We’ve got the purr-fect idea. 🐱

It’s time to clock out and cuddle up with a cat who’s been waiting for you! This weekend, September 4-6, adoption fees are reduced to $30 for adult cats and $75 for kittens at the Cleveland APL.

We have all kinds of adorable kitties who are ready to make your long weekend, and your life, a whole lot sweeter!

📣❤ Pongo has officially been at the APL for 5 months! That’s way too many days for one very good boy. Help us share his smile!

We don’t know how this 4-year-old freckle-faced cutie has been here so long, but he's making the most of it. His volunteer buddy recently took him on a grand adventure around Cleveland, and Pongo enjoyed every minute. He explored, met new people, and even rode on a boat, where he was the star of the show.

Pongo is a I’ll be right by your side kind of dog. He's great on leash, listens well, is gentle and incredibly sweet, and has a goofy side that makes him even more lovable. After some fun, he's perfectly content to transform into an oversized lap dog and curl up for some couch cuddles.

He may do well with cats, kids, and other dogs, too!

5 months is far too long for a pup this wonderful to be waiting. He's already explored Cleveland, now he's ready to explore life with a family of his own! Could that be you?

Some hearts take time to open up, and this girl is worth the wait… 💕

Meet Azu, a 4-year-old lady who is starting to learn that people and the world are not so scary.

Since arriving at the APL in May, she’s slowly (very slowly) started to let her office friends get a little closer. Enjoying this churu was a big step for her!

Azu needs a very special adopter who understands that she may take a long time to come out of her shell. She needs patience, understanding, and lots of love but we know her special person is out there.

And just like that… we’ve reached the FINAL DAY of the Giles Takeover. 🥹🐾

Over the past week, we’ve shown you a lot of Giles.

We’ve shown you his handsome face, his love of adventures, his appreciation for a good treats, his impressive résumé of errands and outings, and just how perfect he is lounging around a home.

But if there’s one thing we hope you’ve learned about Giles, it’s this:

He’s a best buddy kind of dog. ❤️

On field trips and in foster, Giles has shown how much he loves being with people. He’s sociable, extremely intelligent, and a total snuggle bug. He loves hanging outside in the sunshine just as much as curling up on the couch. And whether you’re out for an adventure or having a quiet day at home, Giles wants to be right there with you.

So while the Giles Takeover may be ending, his search for his people isn't!

Black and white has never looked so good… meet Peter! 🖤🤍

This 3-year-old kitty is very friendly and very curious. Open his kennel and Peter will be right there to see what’s going on and, of course, to collect some pets while he’s at it.

Peter came to the Cleveland APL in June through humane investigations after being found abandoned. Now, he’s ready for the part of his story where he gets a cozy home, a sunny window to lounge by, and a family to call his own.

He’s a very sweet and easy-going guy/ We have a feeling Peter would be very good at keeping an eye on the neighborhood from his favorite window perch.

The Giles Takeover is still here… and we have discovered one of Giles’ greatest talents: being the cutest while enjoying a pup cup!🍦🐶

This handsome guy loves getting out on adventures, meeting new people, and finding all the good snacks.

But as much as Giles loves his outings, what he really wants is a place to call his own. He’s just as happy hanging out in the yard or curling up on the couch with his people.

The Giles Takeover continues! And Giles has a shopping tip to share! 🐾

This handsome guy loves visiting his friends at Hollywood Feed - Rocky River where he gets to meet new people (and gets lots of love), enjoy some treats, and shop for goodies. He’s always a perfect gentleman, even when other dogs are around!
