I did the basic gun dog training on my buddy Russell Papp s chocolate lab Mac. This is the second time I have had the opportunity to watch him hunt....this past spring snow goose hunting here on the farm and the other day 1 evening of dove hunting. I will say it makes me super happy to see owners that put the proper time into their dogs once they leave me...Russell has done just that. I give these dogs their foundational work...it is up to owners really to continue working with their dogs and teach them how to hunt...keeping them to a certain standard with consistency. Put the time in people if you want to have a great hunting partner....it is an amazing thing to see and have at your side...truly special.
