I would like to address a situation that we are currently dealing with that stemmed from a bad review from a former client who was unhappy with her experience.
We recently received a negative review on our page from a former client that was posted a few weeks after her visit, which I responded to.
While I welcome any honest feedback and opportunities to assess and improve the grooming experience for our clients, this person went on to post what she claimed were reviews that she was "finding" on Facebook about Bark of the Town. She copy/pasted reviews that were for other businesses as if they were for us. I did not respond at the time, because I felt it was clear that these were about other businesses, and also I did not wish to provoke this person any further. One alleged review mentioned a different business's name, another mentioned the business was a "trailer in the woods" and one was about in-home pet sitting, which is not a service that we offer as we are a grooming salon.
In the time since this review was posted, there have been many comments added that are from people who are not even in this state, some with outrageous accusations. I have avoided responding to any of the people in the comments, because I do not want this situation to get any more out of hand than it already has.
I hope that all of you know that we dearly love all of the dogs who come to us and do everything we can to make sure they are happy and safe. Many of our clients are like family. Over the years we have built strong bonds with our fur-clients and their humans, and hope that the false claims that followed the former client's review does not hinder those relationships.
I would also like to request to please not add any comments on the negative review as I worry that it will only escalate the situation further.
