We are a 2-doctor, full service, private practice animal hospital that sees patients on appointment, drop-off, and walk-in basis as time permits. We treat emergencies as well as non-emergent, surgical, dental, and preventative wellness cases, and are able to provide digital dental/general radiology, ultrasonography, echocardiography, a variety of in-house labs. Thanks to partnerships with several
mobile veterinarians, we can also offer a number of complicated and/or orthopedic surgical services, CT scan, and endoscopy as availability permits. Beyond first rate pet care, we strive to promote stress-free medicine and work to create a comfortable clinic environment for clients and patients to enjoy. Here at Harborside Animal Hospital, we practice conventional, evidence-based Western medicine and pride ourselves on working together with our clients to provide the highest quality gold-standard medical care for their pets. This includes making diagnostic, treatment, and preventative care recommendations utilizing flea/heartworm preventatives, vaccinations, and many other pharmaceuticals at appropriate label doses as outlined by the FDA. We practice medicine based on the latest scientific advancements within our field as well as FDA guidelines and regulations. We do not practice or promote holistic/alternative medicine solely on its own but may utilize very few nutraceutical products as supportive therapy to our highly Western-based treatment plans. While we are more than happy to see pets and clients who follow all philosophies, we believe this transparency is important in creating and fostering a healthy relationship with a medical team you can trust. If you do not believe conventional/Western medicine is the right approach for your pets or, for example, believe that FDA approved flea/heartworm medications would harm your pets even when given at label doses, then we would recommend seeking care elsewhere with a veterinary team who aligns more with your ideals.
