Veterinary Medical Hospital Of Clearwater VMHOC proudly accepts new patients and provides compassionate, modern veterinary care for dogs and cats.

Our friendly, experienced veterinary team treats every pet like family, focusing on building long-term relationships with both pets and their owners. The Gulf Coast Animal Hospital (later renamed the Veterinary Hospital of Clearwater) was opened by Dr. Steadman Carr in 1958, in response to a need for a quality, full service veterinary care facility serving the greater Clearwater, Dunedin, Safety Harbor area. At that time US 19 and State Road 580 (Main Street) were just two lanes each. There was just an empty field where the Countryside Mall now stands across from our hospital. Dr. Carr's ideals were Top notch veterinary care on the cutting edge in an animal hospital where you are treated like family. Those ideals have continued with Dr. Bendit and our staff. These are just some of the reasons caring pet owners have chosen us since 1958 and why their children continue to make us their family veterinarian.
