🐾❤️HELP SHERBERT! DONATIONS NEEDED FOR VET BILLS! 🐾❤️
Meet Sherbert, a sweet, gentle 2-year-old orange giant who deserves a chance at a happy, healthy life and a loving forever home! ❤️🐈
For about 6 months, a kind Good Samaritan had been feeding Sherbert outdoors before reaching out to Second Chance For Strays for help. Now, we’re doing everything we can to give this big, lovable boy the second chance he deserves!
Sherbert was scheduled to be neutered, but during his pre-surgical exam, he was found to have a concerning 5/6 heart murmur. Because of the potential risks, the vet declined to proceed with surgery. Thankfully, a second opinion downgraded the heart murmur to a 3–4/6, giving us hope that we can move forward with the care he needs.
❤️ Sherbert needs your help!
An echocardiogram (heart ultrasound) is needed to investigate the cause of his heart murmur and determine whether medication might help. Despite the risks, Sherbert is now scheduled for neuter surgery on 10/19 and an echocardiogram on 10/22. Both procedures are costly and we need help covering these important veterinary expenses.
Sherbert has already been vaccinated for rabies and FVRCP, dewormed, treated for fleas and microchipped. He also tested positive for FIV (feline immunodeficiency virus). While this is another challenge in his journey, it doesn’t change the fact that Sherbert deserves love, care and the opportunity to find his forever family ❤️
Sherbert is currently in short-term foster care while he awaits his procedures. Neutering will help make it possible for us to pursue adoption and find him the safe, loving home he deserves.
🙏 Will you help us give Sherbert his chance?
Every donation, no matter the amount, will help offset the cost of his medical care and bring him one step closer to his happily ever after. If you’re unable to donate, please consider sharing Sherbert’s story to help spread the word!
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for supporting Sherbert and Second Chance For Strays. Together we can help this wonderful boy get the care he needs and the second chance he deserves ❤️🐾
Please donate if you can. Every little bit makes a difference 🙏🥰
