With the monsoon storms we’ve been getting lately in Southern Arizona, a lot of owners are watching their dogs hit the panic button. ⚡⛈️

Our human instinct is always to offer soft affection, but that soft energy actually confirms to your dog that there is a reason to be terrified.

The Difference Between Socialized and Friendly

Friendly dog:
"Hi! Can I meet everyone?" 😃

Socialized dog:
"I can calmly exist around everyone." 😌

A dog doesn't need to greet every person or dog they see.

True socialization is about confidence, neutrality, and being comfortable in the world around them. 💜
