Dot was a very special bunny that came to us in May of 2025. I have several buns but there was something about Dot that made me feel especially close to him. He was my favorite. He had a girlfriend, Lucy, and he loved her so much.
In the 16 months I had him, Dot had several episodes of illness, and his kidney issues.
Last night was different from his other illnesses. When I got home from work and went to see him, he hadn’t drank any water. He was limp and couldn’t keep his balance. I tried to give him medicine, but he couldn’t even swallow it. I couldn’t help him this time.
I keep wondering if I missed something. I don’t know. I’m truly devastated and have been crying the last 2 days. Lucy has lost her companion, and I’ve lost a bunny I was deeply bonded with.
I’m so thankful for the last 16 months with Dot.
I wish we’d had so much more time. I love you, Dot. 🤍 I’ll never forget you 💔♥️
