August is Itchy Pet Awareness month!

In North Carolina, we have a lot of itchy pets, and for some pets it can be a year-round issue. Itching is often a symptom of a flea allergy, food allergy, or environmental allergies such as dust, pollen, dander, grasses, etc.

Sometimes the itching is accompanied by ear infections and secondary skin infections so it is important to have your pet examined if they’re having a flare up. We have medications that will help treat infections and manage the itch!
