🐾 OLLIE’S MEET MY FRIENDS: NOVA & TATE R TOT 🐾

Meet Nova and Tate R Tot, two sweet, loving Corgi-Aussie mixes who recently visited The Dog Wash for the very first time!

At 10 years old, Nova is the keeper of the toys. Every day, she gathers them into one carefully guarded pile—like a little dragon protecting her treasure. 🐉

Tate R Tot is 8 years old and has one wonderfully unique quirk: he’s afraid of squares! If he spots a square pattern, he’ll carefully walk around it. No shortcuts for Tate! 😄

These lovable rescues recently moved to our area after living in North Raleigh—and Wyoming before that. We’re so happy their journey brought them to The Dog Wash!

What to Know Before You Go: Downtown Clayton Concert: All My Rowdy Friends with Nicholas Vernon

Tomorrow night, August 13, country music is taking over Town Square, and we are looking forward to dance the night away with you. Before you grab your crew and head downtown, here are a few things to know:

🪑 Bring a chair or blanket
Seating isn't provided, so pack your lawn chairs or a blanket and get comfortable.

🍻 B**r & w**e available
B**r and w**e will be available for purchase in Town Square from Deep River Brewing Company and Melante W**e, or you can grab a Social District beverage from one of our local bars and bring it into the concert area. Please note that alcohol from home is not permitted.

🍔 Food options
Come hungry! Food will be available from:

🚧 Road closures
Main Street (from O'Neil Street to Fayetteville Street) and Fayetteville Street (from Main Street to Second Street) will close at 5:00 PM.

Bring the whole family! We'll have a bounce house, photo booth, and other activities for kids and adults alike.

Friendly, leashed pets are welcome. Please be mindful of the crowd, noise, and summer temperatures.

🐾 Ollie’s Meet My Friends Monday: Meet Forrest! 🐾

Forrest Michael is 30% Bluetick Coonhound and 100% good dog!

Forrest joined Kantro Family Foster Dogs on September 5, 2025, as their ninth foster pup. It didn’t take long for him to win everyone over—by September 18, this lovable “foster fail” had officially become part of the family forever. 💚

Forrest and his adoptable foster brothers and sisters began visiting The Dog Wash in 2026. His mom, Val, says he is a certified goofball and a really good boy who loves playing outside and meeting new friends. This lovable guy just celebrated his first birthday in June. 🥳

The Kantro family fosters through Freedom Ride Rescue, helping deserving dogs feel safe, loved and ready to find families of their own.

We’re so happy Forrest found his forever home—and became one of Ollie’s wonderful friends!

🐾 Ollie's Meet My Friends Monday: Harper & Cadence! 🐾

Harper and Cadence have been visiting The Dog Wash with Carolyn Holmes and her husband since March—and these sweet girls do everything together, including bath time! Their parents pop them both into the tub and have them squeaky clean and conditioned in a flash. 🛁✨

Harper is an 18-month-old Catahoula Leopard Dog with the joyful energy of a real-life Tigger. This bouncy brown beauty loves to jump, play and snuggle!

Cadence is a 4-year-old Border Collie mix and the serious sister of the pair. She takes her responsibilities very seriously—especially reminding Mom when it’s time for a walk. 🐕‍🦺

Both girls are loving, playful and wonderfully snuggly. We’re so happy to have Harper, Cadence and the Holmes family as part of The Dog Wash family!

Recently, The Dog Wash NC had a new customer along with her beautiful rescue, Millie, try our self-service baths for the first time. Ms. Lille does not use FB, IG, or other SM platforms. However, she was so kind to text her review below:

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ THE DOG WASH in Clayton went beyond my expectations. My chowchow rescue, Millie, had success. Millie was homeless and running the streets for who knows how long. She has come a long way since her adoption but I have never been able to bring her to get a bath due to her anxiety until I found THE DOG WASH. The walls are high so she can not see other dogs, the wash platform is low so she can get right in the wash area. Plus I could easily use the water/ bath device. Millie is now strutting around happy and clean!!! Thank you Christine for having the solution for my beloved chow rescue dog!!!
