Ten years ago today I got the best dog I'll ever have! And I say this with conviction because there will never be another like Wrigley! We were meant for each other since day one, until his last. Deeply loved. Deeply missed.
So I've waited some time to write this post. And as I sit here now, I still feel like I'm not ready to say it... It's been a really tough time. On the 28th of June We laid Wrigley down. He has been struggling for some time, and as hard as it was, I didn't want him to struggle anymore just so I could have more time with him. I know most, if not all of you on here knew Wrigley,... and could testify to how amazingly loving He was. He will ALWAYS be the best dog I ever have! There's no doubt, I will never stop missing him. But he's in heaven now with his 2 kids waiting until I see him again. He passed very peacefully, and calmly while I rubbed his belly until he slept soundly. I know it will be so hard to get over losing him,... but before we said goodbye, we had a family photoshoot. I am SO amazingly grateful to my friend and fellow photographer, Stu Gallagher, for not only capturing images for me to charish forever,.... but for capturing Wrigley. His beautiful face, his loving personality, and his determination and desire to be a part of our family and among us, suffering and all. He took this image I am posting and I love how he captured his beautiful yellow eyes. (eye) We have shots of him with my kids and myself, as well as with Nala, who you all know was his 'Wife'. I think I'll keep them to myself for a while longer. But again.... THANK YOU SO MUCH Stu! You might think it wasn't a big deal,... but it was to me!
And if you're getting married, need product shots, or are touring the wineries,... check him out! He is a great guy and a great photographer!! Stu Gallagher Photography
RIP Wrigley!
You will NEVER be forgotten!
I love you and miss you terribly!
