🐾❤️ **OCTOBER IS NATIONAL ADOPT A SHELTER DOG MONTH!** ❤️🐾

For shelter dogs, October can mean so much more than cooler temperatures and Halloween treats. It can mean **a second chance, a loving family, and finally having a place to call home.** 🏡🐶

At CCARE, we have wonderful dogs waiting right now for someone to see what we see in them — loving, deserving companions who just need someone to give them a chance.

And while **ADOPTION** is an amazing way to help, it isn't the only way! There are so many ways you can make a difference for a shelter dog this month:

❤️ **ADOPT**
Ready to add a four-legged member to your family? Please consider adopting a CCARE dog! Your adoption doesn't just change one life — it opens a space for us to help another dog in need.

💙 **DONATE**
Can't adopt right now? Your financial support helps us provide food, shelter, medical care and everything else our dogs need while they wait for their forever homes. Every gift, no matter the size, makes a difference.

💚 **FUNDRAISE**
More than 50% of CCARE's annual funding comes from generous donors and fundraisers. Whether it's $5 or $5,000, every dollar helps us care for the approximately 250 dogs who come through our doors each year.
Have an idea for a fundraiser? We'd LOVE to hear it and can even help with planning!
📧 [email protected]

💛 **VOLUNTEER**
Our volunteers truly are the heart of CCARE. They walk dogs, clean kennels, help with events, take photos, share posts and so much more. **You don't have to have a lot of time — you just have to have the heart to help.** ❤️

💜 **FOSTER**
Open your home temporarily and help change a dog's life forever. Fostering gives a shelter dog the love, comfort and home experience they need while waiting for their forever family. And CCARE provides the food, supplies, support and medical care!

🐾 FIVE ways to help. One month to make a difference. Countless lives that can be changed.**

This October, won't you help us make sure more CCARE dogs get the happy ending they deserve? ❤️

**ADOPT. DONATE. FUNDRAISE. VOLUNTEER. FOSTER.**

Thank you for standing beside CCARE and the dogs who need us! 🐾❤️

💗 Belle is still waiting… 💗

Some dogs just have that special something about them—and Belle is one of those dogs. 🥹🐾

This beautiful 4-year-old girl is one of the absolute sweetest dogs we have at CCARE. She loves people, gets along with dogs, cats AND kids, and is always happy to spend time with her humans. She knows how to sit and wait, LOVES to play fetch, and would be thrilled to have someone to share walks, adventures and everyday life with. ❤️

So why is this sweet girl still waiting?

Belle was recently diagnosed with diabetes, which means she needs an insulin injection twice a day. We know that can sound intimidating, especially if you've never cared for a diabetic dog before. But Belle is still Belle—a loving, happy, playful girl who simply needs someone willing to learn her routine and give her the extra care she needs. 💕

She doesn't need a perfect family. She just needs someone who won't give up on her because of her diabetes. 🥺❤️

If you have room in your heart for a truly wonderful dog and are willing to work through Belle's medical needs, please don't overlook this girl. She has SO much love to give and would make an incredible companion. 🏡🐶

Belle is waiting. Maybe her person is waiting for her, too. ❤️
