Helping owner look for his forever home:
Cane Corso Italian Mastiff | Birthday: 10/16/2019 | Weight: 115-120 lbs | Intact
Vaccines UTD - I need to find his records. I got him at 10 weeks old. He's eaten raw since 14 weeks old. He's never had any health issues except an upset tummy a couple times. Up until last year I was ordering a beef/chicken blend from a small company, but now I just use the grocery store. He loves beef hearts. His favorite fruit is watermelon. He also likes eggs, squash and frozen blueberries. He'll eat bananas if you tell him to, but he doesn't like the texture. He Loves the river and the beach. He Hates rain and baths. He grew up running around with other dogs on a dead end road. He loves making friends (Really misses them right now). He's never been aggressive with other dogs; he thinks everyone wants to play. Small dogs scare him sometimes. He will chase and eat rabbits. He'll chase cats too but he's never hurt or killed anything besides rabbits. We had a baby opossum in the backyard for a little while that he didn't hurt. He listens well off leash. If there's other dogs and they have his attention, I have to get right up next to him before he'll "hear me", though. He listens to and likes women more than men. I've always been alpha. My ex was his play buddy and didn't care about training or listening to anything I said about it. Odin likes to grab hands when playing or wanting to play. He also started grabbing pants. He's never bit anyone, but he has snapped a few times. Warnings. He's been great around kids. My friend's baby would crawl all around him. However, he has anxiety and can be jumpy with the rambunctious. We got him at the start of covid, so he didn't get the human interactions he needed as a pup. He's much more comfortable with animals. (he thinks horses and cows are big dogs that will play too). He knows lots of commands and will wait for his food. He will destroy toys pretty quickly, but if there's something he's not supposed to touch, he won't. I just tell him not his, leave it. He doesn't chew any household items. He's extremely smart but loves to play dumb sometimes. And he's a great protector. He would sit/lay in between my ex and I whenever David was around. And if David came close to me for whatever reason, Odin would go nudge, whine and pull on him. Wherever David was in the house or the room, Odin was in between us.
He's a good boy and has been through a lot. He deserves so much more love and joy and a place to run with friends.
