Puurrrfect Paws Rescue Puurrrfect Paws Rescue is a foster based 501(c)(3) organization, dedicated to helping cats and kittens in need. We have volunteers all around TN.

We exist to help homeless, abandoned, and abused cats and kittens in need. We value all cats and kittens, and we believe in no momma left behind. Our cats come into the rescue for many different reasons. Many left at high kill shelters, and pulled from euthanization lists. Some are hoarding cases, some turned in by their owners because they could no longer care or afford them, others are found on

the streets badly wounded and clinging to life. Regardless of how they come to us, our goal is to rehabilitate and find each of them a loving forever home! Meet Onyxia! This gorgeous house panther was living on the streets until she was trapped for TNR. She’s much too sweet to be living on the streets! Luckily a foster was available and she was brought into rescue. Onyxia is approximately 9 years old, but she still plays with the energy of a kitten! She’s very shy at first, but once she trusts you she’s pure Velcro. Onyxia is extremely sweet and loving, and is just looking for a place to lay about and relax. She’d prefer a calmer home, without loud sounds making her nervous. Who knows what this poor baby endured in the wild? She gets along well with other kitties, and would probably be ok with calm dogs as long as they don’t want to chase or frighten her. Onyxia is fixed, fully vetted and ready to love her new forever family!

This gorgeous guy is Ofolio. He was living on the streets until being trapped for TNR. He was much too sweet to go back outdoors, and luckily a foster was available. Ofolio is approximately one year young and he’s a wonderfully sweet kitty. He’s always making biscuits when his foster mama is near, and even drools with happiness when being pet 💕 He loves pets and belly rubs, and enjoys playing too! Ofolio is shy at first, but he seems to come around pretty quickly. He gets along well with other kitties and would probably be ok with calm dogs. ***He is a flight risk, and has been known to escape out a screened window or open door*** As such, he needs a home that pays close attention to windows and doors. Ofolio is fixed, fully vetted and ready to find a forever family to love.

Another day, another dumped cat.

Poor vanilla was adopted in 2023 and recently found herself at animal control. Instead of returning her, they decided to just let her be free outside. Another pet owner who couldn’t do the right thing. Thankfully she was chipped to us, so we were able to reclaim her, have her checked at the vet and cleared for adoption again. Yes, the adopters name has been given to all other rescued and animal control for dumping her.

Vanilla Swirl is backup for adoption. She can be seen at petsmart on Wilma. She seems shy at first, but happy to be safe with food and fresh water not fending for herself. She is a happy girl who enjoys all the love, pets and cuddles! She likes to explore and she may do ok with 1 other calm cat after proper introductions. But she is also fine being by herself!

Meet Ceden

Ceden was just returned to us.
Why? Because he was peeing outside the litter box.

His new family thought it was a behavior problem.
So we took him to the vet.

Diagnosis: UTI.
One vet visit. Some meds. That’s all it took.

He’s being treated now, and once he’s cleared he’ll be up for adoption again. He’s sweet, he’s social, and he’s not “bad.” He was hurting.

This is why we talk about this:

When a cat stops using the litter box, assume medical first. Most of the time it’s not spite or being “naughty.” It’s pain. UTIs, bladder stones, kidney issues, arthritis : they all show up as accidents outside the box.

•Stress is a huge trigger for cats.
New home, new people, new routine, loud house, other pets... stress can literally cause UTIs and flare-ups. Cats are sensitive little guys.

Adopting means signing up for vet care.
Just like we go to the doctor when something feels off, pets need that too.
•An accident outside the box = call the vet. Not a return. Catching it early with meds can save a lot of pain for them, and a lot of stress for you.

Ceden didn’t deserve to lose his home over something treatable.

When he’s ready, he’ll be looking for his forever person. Someone who understands that caring for a cat means vet visits, patience, and watching for the small signs.

Meet George 🧡

He is estimated at 1 years old. This medium hair orange tabby hasn’t let losing a limb slow him down! He will explore his new surroundings, and after adjusting in he is nothing but love. George love his scratches, especially his chin scratches. He will be ok in a home with 1-2 other cats, AFTER proper introductions. NO Dogs! The foster home doesn’t have kids, but NO young children. George enjoys all the finer things in life, especially a comfy bed & bird watching. He is sure to make anyone happy. As with any tripod getting around on slick floor is a little hard, so the more carpet the better for this boy!

Meet Celestite 💜

Celestite is a beautiful 3-year-old mama cat and the proud mom of our “Gemstones” pack. She came into foster care with four kittens of her own, and without hesitation, she also welcomed three non-biological kittens and cared for all seven as if they were hers. She has truly been the sweetest, most loving mama.

Now that her babies are growing up, it’s Celestite’s turn to be loved and spoiled. She is so ready for a home of her own where she can roam freely, relax, and finally be the center of someone’s world.

Celestite absolutely loves affection. She enjoys being petted and held, and one of her sweetest habits is rubbing her face against your neck while you’re holding her. She is gentle, loving, affectionate, and seems happiest when she is close to her people.

She has also been exposed to both cats and dogs and has gotten along well with them, making her a wonderful candidate for many different types of homes.
