Paws to Care (http://www.apsu.edu/paws-to-care) seeks to help the feral cats that reside on APSU's campus by transforming individuals' kindness into organized care. Feral cats have had very little contact with humans

; they typically are born to stray cats or are stray cats that have reverted to feral behavior. From living in the wild, feral cats are more susceptible to feline leukemia, rabies, and FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus). Also, as they have never been spayed or neutered, feral cats reproduce at an exponential rate that easily can increase a population from 12 to 2,000 in four years! However, a group, organization, or club with more resources can participate in the Adopt-a-Cat program. For $300, you can provide one feral cat with vaccinations, a spay/neuter procedure, and food for one year. We also gladly accept Purina Cat Food (Purina Cat Chow Complete in the blue bag) or coupons to be used toward the purchase of food for the cats. If you have coupons or food to donate, please see Corina Ravenscraft at the APSU Woodward Library. Good morning, everyone! Happy "Thankful Thursday!" Me-WOW, do we have a LOT to be thankful for today! ๐Ÿ˜ป Last week, we sent out a call for food donations, and our amazing community did NOT disappoint us! A HUGE, BIG "THANK YOU!!" goes to: (in no particular order) Kay Dillard Haralson, Tiffany Sparks, Brittany May, Dana Baggett, and anyone else who donated food and treats! We apologize if we missed anyone; there weren't always names with the boxes, but we โค you all.

๐Ÿ˜ธ Paws was able to restock the pantry with: *3 BIG boxes and a case of wet food cans, *2 LARGE bags of Temptations treats, *3 BIG bags of Purina dry food and *3 packages of the 4 small bags of Purina dry food bundled together!

In any case, we are SO GRATEFUL to have generous, loving people like you, who help us take care of the campus cats. We truly could not do this without YOU! Here's a photo of P***e and Steely Dan (who kind of blends into the background, doesn't he?), who also wanted to say, "Thank Mew!" for the food. ๐Ÿพโค๐Ÿ˜บ๐ŸŽฉ

Good morning, everyone. It's time for another "Thankful Thursday" post. Today, we'd like to extend a BIG "Thanks in advance" to ANY and ALL of our community of supporters, in the hopes that we can get some food donations!

Our pantry is running low and Fury (seen here) and the others have issued a formal complaint ๐Ÿ™€:

๐Ÿพ Issue: Empty food bowls.
๐Ÿพ Requested Resolution: More cat food.
๐Ÿพ Level of Urgency: Extremely dramatic.

PLEASE help us stock the shelves for our furry friends on campus. Donations of Purina Cat Chow Complete dry food in the blue bag (Chicken version), Friskies Patรฉ wet cat food, and Catnip Fever Temptations treats are GREATLY appreciated and make a real difference!

You can bring donations to the APSU Woodward Library on campus, or send via Amazon or Chewy to: Paws to Care c/o: APSU Woodward Library 601 Hannum Street Clarksville, TN 37044.

We know times are tight right now, so ANYTHING helps! Please help us keep the complaints to a minimum and the purrs to a maximum. ๐Ÿพโค๐Ÿ˜บ๐ŸŽฉ

Good morning, everyone. Happy "Thankful Thursday"! Today, we'd like to express our deepest gratitude to many folks. First, we'd like to say "Thank you!" to Karen C. who donated several bags of food. We'd also like to thank the anonymous couple who brought in a large bag of food for the cats. ๐Ÿ˜ป

We definitely want to send a huge "THANKS!" to Mr. Joseph Johnston, who sent in a large cheque in honor of his and his wife's 41st anniversary! HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!๐ŸŽŠ

Last, but most certainly not least, we'd like to send out a great big "YAY! THANK YOU!" to Kara and Amanda who volunteered to be feeders for us on Mondays and Fridays.

We are always SO thankful that we have such a wonderful, giving community to help us and the APSU cats! You guys make it all worth it and keep us humble! Our pretty kitty Sheba wanted to say "Thank Mew!", too. ๐Ÿพโค๐Ÿ˜บ๐ŸŽฉ

*** UPDATE: We have received many people wanting to volunteer to feed and have already started a couple of people, but THANK YOU to everyone who contacted us! We are truly blessed! ***

๐Ÿ˜บ Good morning, everyone. Happy Caturday!

This is Sox.
Sox likes to eat.
We like to feed her.

Due to some unforeseen circumstances, we're looking for people who might like to feed a few of the campus cats on Monday and Friday mornings. You will need to be an APSU Faculty, Staff or Alumni, as students are unfortunately not allowed to be feeders for Paws to Care. Sadly, it's not a paid position, but you get to know the cats on a more personal basis and once they get to know you well enough, you might even be able to pet some of them. ๐Ÿ˜‰

If interested, please send us a message. ๐Ÿพโค๏ธ๐Ÿ˜บ๐ŸŽฉ

Good morning, everyone. It's Thursday, which means that it's time for another "Thankful Thursday" post here at Austin Peay! Today we'd like to send out a heartfelt "THANK YOU!" to Mrs. Linda Stolz, for the three bags of food she sent us! Our campus cats don't eat *quite* as much during the summer as they do in the colder months, but eating is still one of their favorite things. ๐Ÿ˜ธ ๐Ÿซถ We truly appreciate the help keeping them all fed and healthy and we can always use more food!

Here's a sight you may not see very often: It's the "Fab Five" of Harned Hall, as we sometimes call them. The cats are more comfortable with the regular feeders, so they can get cool photos like this. We put the cats' names on the photo so you can recognize them if you ever see them. You might not always see them all together like this, but rest assured, they are there. They all wanted to say "Thank Mew!", too! ๐Ÿพโค๏ธ๐Ÿ˜บ๐ŸŽฉ

It is Find-A-Home Friday! Today we'd like to introduce our followers to Fiona aka FiFi. It is with heavy, but hopeful, hearts that we are posting this gorgeous girl for rehoming.

Fiona, now roughly 2 yrs old, was taken in as a stray about a year and half ago by one of our own. She showed up at his house after having endured some sort of physical trauma to her hips. The good samaritan had her fully vetted and cared for her through the healing process. Unfortunately, in the time she has been with him, she has not adjusted to being around other cats (to the point of attacking the other cats in the home at any given opportunity).

This Queen Bee needs to be in an only cat home where she can soak up all the adoration that a beauty like her deserves. She is incredibly affectionate to her people and loves to cuddle up with you, and also enjoys chasing toys around her enclosure. Due to her prior hip injury she must be an inside only cat with a family that understands how to care for long fur. We are not sure how she is with dogs or children.

If you are looking for a gorgeous cuddle buddy to be the center of your world, this is the girl for you. As part of the rehoming process, any applicant will need to fill out our application and join us for an interview. The rehoming fee will go to APSU Paws to Care as a donation. Please give this sweet and sassy girl a chance! โค๏ธ

Good morning, everyone! It's a "Thankful Thursday" here on the beautiful campus of Austin Peay. Today, we're thankful for all of the big shade trees around campus. They help keep us (and the cats!) cool when the summer temps creep up into the high 80's and 90's. You'll probably see the cats lounging in the shade of bushes, or lying on cool concrete, or sometimes... even up in a tree! Here's Tux to prove it! ๐Ÿ˜ธ๐Ÿพโค๏ธ๐ŸŽฉ

Good morning, everyone! It's Thursday, which means it's time for another post full of gratitude.

Today's "Thankful Thursday" hearts go out to all of our followers out there who let us know about the recent spate of scammers posting FAKE SHIRT announcements and tagging lots of people. ๐Ÿ˜พ Grrrr! They've all been reported, blocked and deleted, but in case you ever see someone advertising ANY kind of Paws to Care apparel, it's a SCAM. We may offer shirts or something at some point, but when we do, believe us, you will know it's legit.

Anyway, THANK YOU to everyone who alerted us to the scammers! We're grateful for you, and honestly, the scammers absolutely underestimated the investigative powers of cat rescue followers. Cat people notice *everything*.

Our sweet calico Farbie had some choice words, too. ๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿพโค๏ธ๐Ÿ˜บ๐ŸŽฉ
