I always wanted a dog. But, for some reason, it never worked out. It was never “convenient.” There was never enough money or time, and my lifestyle was just conducive to owning a dog. Whatever the excuses, I just never made the commitment. However, the Universe had a different plan for me. I had become determined-ish (kind of) to get one. My wonderful step-daughter and I talked about adding a furry family member. We would look up breeds that we wanted. I started visiting rescues…
Then one afternoon a dog ran into the street in front of my car. Ten minutes later that same dog had jumped into my car. And that is the story of how the loving became a part of our family. She might not be the dog any of us would have chosen. But, she is the dog we love, and she is everything I ever wanted in a dog.
has opened TJ’s and my heart and emotions to the life, needs, and circumstances of all dogs. We never fully understood the love and admiration they give to their humans and the pure joy they get from being with us. On the flip side, through social media, we became more aware of the other ways a dog’s life could turn out. Our heart aches with every post, every picture, and every share. We are saddened and distraught by the cards some of these creatures are dealt… TJ and I are grateful with every update that jumped in the car! So… Instead of being only heartbroken we decided to TAKE ACTION! Thus, the creation of TupsForPups! As a single individuals we knew there was not much either of us could do. Alone, we couldn’t have the kind of impact in helping dogs and other animals that we craved. But, with the generous Fundraiser program of Tupperware and the powerful reach of social media… We knew together working as a team we could help rescue raise money for the four-legged companions. TJ and I established a company based on Love and systems to create and promote fundraiser events to generate as much money as possible, with the least amount of work for the rescues.
