GOOD THINGS ARE WORTH THE WAIT!

Our general contractor Canon has a little update about our Riverview Animal Clinic Wellness Center GRAND OPENING! ❤️

Our new grand opening date will be December 19th!

Unfortunately, the flooring we ordered is on backorder, which means we need just a little more time before we can welcome everyone into our beautiful new space!

One feature we are especially excited about is our textured epoxy flooring! These floors are designed to provide better traction for our furry patients, especially our senior pets who may struggle with slippery surfaces. Every detail of this new clinic has been thoughtfully planned with your pets’ comfort, safety, and happiness in mind. ❤️

So, while we’re a little disappointed about the delay, we know the extra month will be worth it!

MARK YOUR CALENDARS!

Small Surgeries. BIG Impact!

Another successful TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) day in the books with our friends Helping Hands Rescue. Shout out to their hard working team for putting in the work to trap these cats!

Every cat we spay or neuter is one more step toward reducing overpopulation, preventing unnecessary suffering, and creating healthier, happier community cat colonies.

TNR is about so much more than population control. It’s about compassion, improving quality of life, and making a lasting difference for cats who may never have a home of their own. ❤️

We’re incredibly grateful to work alongside people who share our passion for animal welfare and believe that every animal deserves kindness and care, whether they have a family or not.

We are so thankful our awesome team was willing to donate their time on a Sunday to make this happen. We love our crew!

Together, we’re making a difference one cat at a time! 🐾

Every veterinary professional has a story. And for many of us, it started with one very special animal.

The childhood dog who was our best friend. The cat who was always there when we needed comfort. The horse who taught us patience, trust, and unconditional love.

For so many of us, there was one animal who changed everything. The one who made us fall in love with animals, sparked our passion for caring for them, and ultimately inspired us to pursue a career in veterinary medicine.

Long before we wore scrubs, held stethoscopes, or cared for your beloved pets, we were just kids who loved an animal with our whole hearts. ❤️

Today, we’re sharing some of the special animals who helped shape the people behind Riverview Animal Clinic.

They may not have known it, but they inspired a lifetime of caring for others.

Now we want to know… Was there one special animal who changed your life? We’d love to hear about them in the comments! ❤️

Getting older doesn’t have to mean slowing down!

Have you noticed your dog taking a little longer to get up in the morning? Or your cat isn’t jumping onto their favorite spot quite as often?

It’s easy to assume these changes are just a normal part of aging. But what if they’re actually signs of something we can help with?

Arthritis is one of the most common conditions affecting our senior pets (age 7-10 years old) and the early signs can be incredibly subtle.

Pets are remarkably good at hiding discomfort. They may not cry, limp, or show obvious signs of pain. Instead, you might notice:

🐾 Hesitation before jumping onto furniture
🐾 Stiffness after resting
🐾 Slowing down on walks
🐾 Difficulty with stairs
🐾 Sleeping more or playing less
🐾 Changes in grooming or behavior

The good news? There is so much we can do to help!

From pain management and joint support to weight management and lifestyle modifications, early intervention can make a tremendous difference in your pet’s comfort and mobility.

And arthritis is just one piece of the puzzle!

At Riverview Animal Clinic, our senior wellness exams focus on the whole pet. We evaluate mobility, dental health, heart health, cognitive changes, and overall quality of life. We may also recommend screening tests to help identify conditions before they become more serious.

Our goal isn’t just to help your pet live longer. It’s to help them feel better, move comfortably, and enjoy every moment with you.

Because growing older is inevitable. Living in pain doesn’t have to be.

Is your pet entering their golden years? We’d love to help them make the most of them!
