OK, for those who have asked how serious can a Crested Gecko bite be?! or Do they really bite when they are "peeved"!? Here are a few pictures. I was cleaning my last enclosure and knew this guy is a "biter";however, he was not shedding correctly so I was using a set of skewers to remove the shed....when...he reached around and grabbed onto my left index finger and YES ... it hurt! He manager to lacerate the finger and I bled like a "stuck pig"! What can ya say except...."ya little shxt"! They don't care if you are trying to help them or not.....your digits are "fair game"! Here are a few photos of his "handiwork"!

Today is clean-up / feed day. So my one set of Cresties did NOT appreciate being disturbed! I took a photo of them "banding" together and giving me the "evil eye"! They were not happy!

All righty then, I just went to get a brick of Eco Earth to make some soil for my tanks and found that I had zero left! I went on-line and (after picking my jaw up off the floor), decided I am going to have to come up with my own recipe.

The prices (to say the least ARE OUTRAGEOUS). I bought a 3 Brick Pack in 2019 for $8.19, that same brick now (at the least) is $15.99 up to $62 USD!!

There are 1 brick, 2 brick, 3 brick and even 9 brick offerings; however, you need to take out a loan to purchase them! and some have the audacity to charge shipping on top of that!

I believe this is heralding in very desperate times for our various hobbies!! I was on line looking at the 9 brick offering for $53+ when they put up an "OUT OF STOCK" flag. Then 15 seconds after that they flagged the 3 brick packs also.

I guess the soil is going to stay in for a lot longer than I want!!! I found a source for a 3 brick package for $15.99. Hopefully, it will be in stock....at least the shipping is free!! If anyone knows a supplier who still has decent prices, let me know! Good Luck, ya all.

Good Morning Y'all! During my regular cage maintenance, I just finished a cage, looked back at it and these guys beelined it to the water! I try to keep everything moist but with the baseboard heat the moisture is literally "sucked" out of the environment!!

This is my male Crested Gecko and two of the females taking time to "hydrate"!
