After a lot of thought and many tears, I’ve made the heartbreaking decision to begin finding loving homes for my Basset Hounds. I have 5. Between the ages of 3 and 5, 2 males, 3 females.
With everything happening in my personal life right now... helping care for my grandmother after the loss of her husband, and the uncertainty surrounding my dad’s health after his stroke; I no longer have the time, energy, or consistency to give my dogs the level of commitment, attention, and love they truly deserve.
Anyone who knows me knows these dogs are family to me, and this is not a decision I have made lightly. I will always do what is best for them, even when it hurts, and right now, I know I cannot be the owner they deserve long term. If this were temporary, I would continue pushing through, but I need to be realistic about my circumstances. If money were no problem, I would just pay someone to care for them, but that is not an option for us. I have navigated every option I have to try and make it work, but I cannot find one that gives them a better life besides finding new homes.
My biggest priority is making sure they go to safe, loving, responsible homes where they will continue to be cherished and cared for properly.
If you or someone you know may be interested, please message me privately so we can talk more. I will be very selective about placement because these dogs mean the world to me. They are full-blooded, AKC-registered, and range from 60% to 100% European, some with a champion bloodline. Rehoming fees apply; they are not cheap! I am trying to get back at least half of what I paid for them.
