Every year I do a holiday project thru my business, The Pampered Pooch
For the past 53 that I have been in business I choose a cause that is close to my heart. This year I chose to remain with the same 3rd grade teacher as last year. I chose to sponsor every student in her class and an additional family in need. I did this by reaching out to my customers and asking if they would like to sponsor a child for Christmas. One of my customer's reached out to the company she worked for and the response was overwhelming.
Every child was asked for a wish list..something that they wanted and also something that they needed. Can you imagine seeing on a child's list they needed a BED !!! Or another wantes a vacuum cleaner..These are children that come from many different countries and their families are in great need. As the sponsors started bringing in their gifts for the child or children they chose the generosity was ASTOUNDING!!!!
My entire shop was taken over by thoughtful time spent by each sponsor to make sure all of their child's wishes came true!!!
YES a bed was found !!! and a vacuum too !!!
But the best part I can say for me and my customers was that when you walked into my shop...you could feel the blessings and the overwhelming care that was taken by each sponsor. The time and caring that was given to each child. People would come in and look around at the bags and bags of gifts for these precious children and you could see it but more importantly you could feel the love. Its difficult to.put into words..but it was certainly there...I received outstretched arms full of hugs.from the customers that could feel the overwhelming generosity and caring that was present.
I am proud to say we were able to sponsor 22 children and one mother in need.
I am truley blessed to have been a witness to the generosity and I thank everyone that participated.
