Join us in celebrating Lydia Lanford as she prepares to graduate!
Lydia has had an incredible high school journey filled with leadership and service. Over the past year, she served as State President for the Alabama Society Children of the American Revolution. She has also faithfully served in the kids ministry at City Hope Church throughout all four years of high school. Lydia has worked with Rawhide Trails Therapeutic Riding Center since 2022 and is currently completing an internship there. In addition, she has been a dedicated Mobile Belle, serving at the Richards DAR House Museum for the past three years.
After graduation, Lydia will attend Troy University in Troy, Alabama. She plans to pursue an Interdisciplinary Degree, earning minors in Leadership Development, American Sign Language, and Applied Behavioral Analysis, all working toward her goal of becoming an Equine-Assisted Therapist.
Her favorite part of being a Mobile Belle:
“I have loved getting to encourage the next generation of Belles and watch them step into the role of being great leaders and amazing docents. I am so grateful to have been a part of their journey, and I know many of them will be lifelong friends to me and many others.”
We can’t wait to see all the amazing things ahead for Lydia. Once a Belle, always a Belle.
