Skip Over Trouble Animal Rescue, Inc We are a 501c3 Org. and have wonderful horses and other animals that will live out their lives with us without worry of abuse or starvation

We share our love and devotion with people, the horses and sometimes other animals that come here. Animals are usally starved, abused or abandoned, occasionally we do recieve owner surrenders that just need to re-home their baby. If they need retraining, we provide that and anyother need they have to find them a wonderful lifetime home. Some are sanctuary horses here because of age, medical or met

al issues they are best to stay with us until passing. We welcome visitors and volunteers ! Please call to make sure we are here then come on over.

Slyboy has only been at the trainers sense Sunday and myself and Wendy went to visit him. Remember he went from a round up and as a yearly ( younger honestly) being adopted along with his we think sister from another mother. He has been handled by a handful of people. Myself, Jeff , Wendy . This whole thing of suddenly being taken from all he has ever known for several years is hard on him. Pistol is mopping also. But this is the best thing for any horse is training under saddle if they are able physically. To me he has done a great job with him so far , Slyboy does not trust him totally yet but that does not surprise me. Here he is walking over a mattress ( which is scary) of course he is doing other things also. Next Friday we will go back for another visit. I’ll be there Sunday with our farrier to do his trim ( she is so sweet she is willing to go out of her way to get him done also ! )

I cannot Thank Wendy Lopez and her husband for their donation towards Slyboy’s training! I am really hopeful that in January at the Sunshine Mustang Show Wendy Lopez can show him in Walk / Trot class and or Trail as a new under saddle horse. ❤️

Slyboy is off to school for 3 months of under saddle training. He e took Wander along for the ride so Slyboy would be more at ease as he has not trailered alone yet. He only got worried when he seen us taking wander but I know he will be fine. He is only at a place a few mins from home and our first visit day is Friday

We have turned Boone out with the herd a few times now without issues. He has finally learned how to act in a mixed herd situation! Great news as we don’t have to spend the time / money to divide the field and Hotwire everything. Now they can live as a herd when turned out

Bunbun the rescue bunny is doing really good. Went from scared to wanting attention! We are looking for a covered walk-in dog kennel so we can turn it into a safe outdoor play area for her if anyone wants to donate one or Amazon wish list us one for her

The 18th Annual Healthy Horse Conference at the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine was held Friday and we attended. What great information we received. Our friends Wendy and Jean went also , we all learned so much can't wait until next year. Here we are working with Pistol, Slyboy and R***r on some of the body work we learned to strengthen core. Tomorrow will be Wander and Boones turn :)

Second time Turing the crew out together ( Boone included). I wish I would have gotten it on camera but next time I’ll be ready. We turned Boone, Wander and Grace out at the same time. Once they are in the field we turn out R***r , pistol and Slyboy. Pistol and Slyboy headed right to Grace ( standing with Wander and Boone) those two separated Grace from Boone and Wander. R***r came in the tail end and threw a kick towards Boone ( not trying to contect,just a warning) then went with Slyboy, Grace, Pistol and wander a few feet away and started grazing. Boone stayed where he was at ( like a good boy) and started grazing again. Picture perfect. Fingers crossed it keeps going this well!
