🐾 Our Focus is on Companion Animals 🐾

We primarily serve cats, but we also care for dogs and other companion animals involved in humane/cruelty cases.

We do not handle stray dogs—those are managed by the Pickaway County Dog Shelter as required by Ohio law.

We also do not handle wildlife—those situations are typically referred to wildlife officers or other appropriate authorities.

We are excited to announce that JCPenney (Chillicothe) is holding a buy 1, get 2 free sale on towels this weekend only. They have partnered with CAHS and other local animal shelters to hold a donation drive of towels in conjunction with their sale!

If you are in need of some new towels for your home or would just like to donate back to the animals, head on down to JCPenny and save big!

Happy tails are in the air! 🐾

We are so excited to share that Stewart, Sweet Pea, and puppies Skye, Bandit, Scout, Cash, Beau, and Bailey have all found their furever homes.

From playful puppy zoomies to cozy cat cuddles, these sweet companions have officially started their next chapter with loving families. Thank you to everyone who adopted, shared, supported, and helped make these happy endings possible.
