Beautiful Zoey came to MN Sheltie Rescue via our friends at Heart of a BorderCollie Rescue.💞 Zoey now makes her home with a Sheltie roommate, and with a loving couple who are first-time applicants and longtime Sheltie lovers who fostered her while we completed her medical care. Congratulations to Zoey and her family!

Shelties are very visual and attuned to things out of the ordinary. Look for routes with less decor. Plan ahead how to support your Sheltie so you can enjoy walks together safely:

🎃 Lots of distance from lawn decor
🎃 Redirect (preferably before a reaction)
🎃 Offer reassurance and comfort
🎃 Always have treats on hand

Your Sheltie may try to pull out of the collar or harness or pull the leash from your hand and bolt if frightened!
