Thank you, SPCA Cincinnati!
SPCA Cincinnati is proud to announce our latest award through the Pawsitive Impact Microgrant Program โ a $1,000 investment in the lifesaving work of Crazy Cats Animal Rescue.
There are hundreds of animal welfare organizations across Greater Cincinnati. Many are small. Many are entirely volunteer run. And many โ like Crazy Cats Animal Rescue โ are stepping in every single day to help animals who would otherwise have nowhere to turn.
Founded in 2016, Crazy Cats Animal Rescue is a foster based, no kill cat rescue serving Greater Cincinnati. Without a physical shelter, their work happens directly in the homes of volunteers and out in the community where cats need help most.
Their mission goes far beyond adoption.
Crazy Cats is deeply involved in humane Trap Neuter Return (TNR) efforts, personally trapping feral and stray cats, spaying and neutering them, vaccinating them, providing medical care, and either returning them safely to managed colonies or placing friendly cats into foster homes for adoption.
This latest microgrant will support the urgent medical care of Harold, a 3 year old cat transferred from Kenton County Animal Services with a severely injured front leg requiring amputation.
With support from the Pawsitive Impact Microgrant Program, Harold will receive surgery at Jaax Veterinary Hospital, recover in a loving foster home, and then become available for adoption into a permanent family.
For Crazy Cats, saying yes to cats like Harold is not unusual. For nearly a decade, they have taken on some of the communityโs most medically complex feline cases โ including amputations, dental surgeries, orthopedic repairs, and critical wound care โ while maintaining an extraordinary commitment to lifesaving.
Their work also includes:
โ๏ธ Humane TNR and colony management
โ๏ธ Emergency veterinary care for community cats
โ๏ธ Foster based rescue and adoption
โ๏ธ Affordable monthly wellness clinics for pets
โ๏ธ Support for caregivers feeding feral colonies
SPCA Cincinnati believes building a truly humane community requires partnership โ not competition. The Pawsitive Impact Microgrant Program exists to strengthen the broader ecosystem of care across Greater Cincinnati.
When small organizations are stronger, animals are safer.
Applications for microgrants (up to $1,000 per award) are open on a rolling basis for eligible animal welfare organizations serving Greater Cincinnati.
