Somehow the year is over half way over....
And we all know the rest of the year will fly by just as fast, blink twice and the holidays will be here.

So my question is - if there is one skill you wish your dog could learn by the end of this year, what would it be?

No matter now neutral your pup is, 🧑‍🧑‍🧒‍🧒crowded spaces, 📣loud noises, and 🔥 hot weather are risky factors to expose your best friend to. More dogs will go missing tonight than any other night this year - please keep yours safe, cool, and calm indoors!

Stopped in at Canine Crunch Co between sessions this morning and boy will I be back! Nutrition and ingredient labels are something I take so seriously as a dog owner and trainer, and I am rarely impressed with packaged treat offerings at scratch bakeries. A big 🎉congratulations🎉 to Shelby and her mom for completing their Queen City K9 Puppy Program! Over several weeks they conquered potty and crate training, basic commands, and started developing beautiful leash walking skills! We work with them all, big and small! Say hello to Trixie, an adorable Iggy and our smallest client to date! She may only be about 12 pounds, but she punches 10x her weight when it comes to s***k!
With Trixie we are focusing heavily on play based training, working to build her confidence and develop a solid off leash recall. Her parents are working hard to give her a life of fulfillment and freedom so she can put her speed to the test in safe and trusting ways 🏎️💨

Romey and her mom are recent graduates from our 6 week program where we worked to overcome leash pulling, excessive barking, and a little bit of stubbornness hidden under that cute scruff. Early on we started to establish a place command to redirect barking and not-so-welcoming door manners.
