Ohio Alleycat Resource & Spay/Neuter Clinic is a nonprofit organization dedicated to enriching the lives of cats and communities in Greater Cincinnati by providing low-cost, high-quality spay/neuter services for ferals, strays, and pets; offering TNR (trap-neuter-return) and other outreach programs; and running a no-kill adoption center dedicated to finding loving homes.

👯 Ave & Burton are a couple of 5 year old bonded twin boys! These guys have spent their whole entire lives together and it shows in their attachment to each other. Humans may come and go, and we hope they’re able to stick around, but if not, we’re just thrilled they can seek comfort in one another and we don’t want to do anything to break that bond, even if it means it takes a bit longer to find a home where they can both shine, together. 🤗

☀️ Fortunately, these boys are pretty easy kitties! They get along with each other, other cats, and even kiddos. They are gentle cats and like the peaceful life. Ave & Burton just aren’t too crazy at this stage of life but they do still love to play! Since kittenhood, they’ve always loved curling up together on a sunny window sill. Keep the treats coming and you’ll have two very happy boys on your hands! 😺

🥱 She, along with many of her friends, are patiently waiting for you to sign up to foster with OAR! We provide all the food, supplies, medical care, etc., but, as big as our hearts are, we just can’t provide the one on one attention and space these kitties need to decompress after making their way to us. 👋

This week, we’re celebrating our incredible team of Registered Veterinary Technicians (RVTs) and the compassion, knowledge, and dedication they bring to OAR every single day! 🩺🐾

This year’s theme, “Endless Compassion, Expert Care: Celebrating the Soul of Veterinary Medicine,” perfectly captures what these amazing people bring to our Adoption Center & Spay/Neuter Clinic and all of the lucky cats who find their way through these doors.

Dear OAR supporters, community cat caretakers, and cat lovers,

Once again, your efforts have yielded extraordinary results for community cats in the Greater Cincinnati area. Our team has performed over 2,900 spay/neuter surgeries for unowned, free-roaming cats so far this year. While 2,900 is an impressive number, the impact is so much more awe-inspiring—that’s nearly 3,000 cats that are happier, healthier, and living a better life thanks to the work we have done together. We are grateful for your hard work, your deep love for cats, and for the generous funders who make this program possible.

Due to this overwhelming success, the funding that subsidizes our TNR services is projected to be fully allocated by November 1, 2026.

Therefore, the final day we will offer a fully subsidized (free) TNR surgery will be October 29th, 2026.

Please note the following:

All existing, confirmed appointments (as of October 19th, 2026) will be honored at the fully subsidized rate. If you have an appointment for a community cat, it is extremely important that you contact us to ensure existing funding is applied to your appointment.

While we will continue to accept community cats as walk-ins after October 29th, we will be unable to subsidize the cost until 2027 funding is allocated.

This temporary pause is a testament to what we can accomplish together. We are truly proud of this program's impact and are looking forward to resuming fully-subsidized services in 2027.

👗 Fabric is no cheap polyester! She’s a fiiiiine silk. Soft & floofy as can be, sweet & petite, purrfectly clean & tidy, eyeliner & lipstick on point, with the most fabulous beauty marks.. we wish we could tell you she’s as much of a diva as she might appear, but she’s just not. She’s easygoing, gentle, and nice to be around. She’s just looking for a bit of peace in her life.. which will require her to peace on outta here. The shelter environment is no place for a lady! ✌️

👀 Such a beautiful cat will get a lot of eyes on her but she’s really looking for a calm home where she can let her true colors show. She doesn’t love a ton of stress or chaos. Does this sound like your vibe? If so, you gotta meet your soul queen! Fabric can’t wait to meet you and she’ll integrate easily into your home once she settles in. 👑

🌶️ Jalapeño Holly is just the right amount of spice! In our opinion anyway.. You gotta get to know her a bit because, like any good torbie knows, you can’t just debase yourself for a little human attention and, based on her lack of adoptions, she certainly hasn’t. She feels no pressure to perform for adopters so we need to do a little work for her! 🥵

🧶 Once you win her over, she is quite sweet, and she’ll win you over quickly with her beauty and playfulness either way. She is smart and curious and basically everything you’d ever want in a young torbie girl. She just needs a chance to show off what she’s made of in a home. Pro tip: play is the expressway to her heart! Let’s bust her out of her shell! 🛣️

😼 Happy Feral Cat Day! Or as we like to celebrate, Happy ALL Community Cats Day and special thanks to the face behind our Community Cat Program (CCP), Tonya! Community cats are unowned, free-roaming cats that live outdoors. Some are feral, some are friendly, and some are somewhere in between, but they all deserve to be healthy and safe. The very best way to help them is to Trap-Neuter-Return and then continue to provide food, water, and shelter for them. 🙀

🎉250 MEET ME MONDAYS!🎉

We recently celebrated 250 Mondays of helping OAR cats get seen, get noticed, and find loving homes! 💜 🐾

Each week, our incredible volunteer Martha, OAR’s Off-Site Adoption Coordinator, introduces our Facebook community to one of our adoptable cats through her Meet Me Monday videos. She often features cats who have been with us a little longer, giving them another opportunity to show off their personalities and connect with potential adopters.

For her 250th video, Martha featured the cats in our Show Room, our FeLV+ (feline leukemia virus positive) cat room at the Adoption Center. We celebrated the milestone with a special adoption promotion that week, too!
