HER STORY: Lacy was an abandoned, starved stray found in Brown County. This poor girl has suffered serious neglect and abuse in her rough past :( She was extremely underweight & her bottom teeth filed down. Watch her news story here:http://www.wcpo.com/dpp/news/starving-abused-pit-bull-in-brown-co-heals Adore-A-Bull Rescue took her in and got her physical issues assessed. It was discovered that this sweet girl had been shot in the head and the spine area. She has fought ongoing infections behind her eye area due to bullet fragments. Now, there is a mass of swollen soft tissue behind her eye that needs to be removed. She needs this surgery in effort to get her infections to stop and so she is healthy enough for her furever home!! She has been through so much and is the sweetest girl. And yes, she has a permanent head tilt due to the trauma she suffered. This does not affect her health just gives her character. : ) Lacy had her surgery yesterday. The doctor reported once he got into her infected mass he found an infected hole in her bone (from where she was shot), which resulted in removing part of that bone. Beyond that, deeper in her tissue, he found the bullet and many metal fragements, which he removed along with all of the compromised tissue. She will be aggressively treated with strong antibiotics which will hopefully kill any infection and bacteria that may be left. THANKS SO MUCH TO THOSE WHO HAVE DONATED!!!!
