Pets In Need of Greater Cincinnati Nonprofit veterinary clinic for low-income families in the Cincinnati OH Tri-State Region.

Our nonprofit veterinary clinic provides affordable, high-quality veterinary care to keep pets healthy and together with the people who love them. We believe that everyone deserves the joy of a pet, and all pets deserve quality veterinary care. As the only resource of its kind in Greater Cincinnati, Pets In Need provides a positive alternative to surrendering pets to a shelter for those who have fallen on hard times. There are no geographic restrictions and pet owners come from the entire Tristate area encompassing 15 counties and 127 zip codes.

Someone was getting a little sleepy during his appointment. 💤 Meet Grizzly, a big sweetheart who recently visited for care related to his cluster seizures. During his visit, we helped him with medication, bloodwork and fluids, and he even got to enjoy some donated canned food!

For Grizzly’s family, being able to access veterinary care at an affordable price makes all the difference. His owner shared that this care makes it easier to take care of her beloved pets.

We’re happy to help make sure Grizzly can get the care he needs while his family gets to focus on what matters most: taking care of their beloved boy. 🐾

Ansley celebrated her birthday by giving back to the pets who need it most! 💙🐾

Instead of birthday gifts, Ansley asked her family and friends to donate to Pets In Need, raising over $500 to help pets receive affordable veterinary care!

Through the PetSmart Charities Accelerator Grant program, we’ve gained valuable support, guidance, and resources that have helped us grow and make an even greater impact over the past couple of years. A little rain didn’t stop a whole lot of good work!

A huge thank-you to Rotary Club of Cincinnati and Crux Roadboardz for spending the day with us at Pets In Need! Despite the rainy weather, this wonderful group jumped right in to help clean around the clinic, tackle outdoor projects, and organize donations to keep things running smoothly.

Their time, hard work, and willingness to lend a hand made such a difference, and we’re so grateful for the care they put into every task.

Rotary’s motto, “Service Above Self,” was certainly on display today. Thank you for showing up, getting your hands dirty, and helping us continue providing affordable veterinary care to the pets and people who need it. We loved having you here! 🐾

A nose like that deserves all the boops 🥰

When Nala developed a severe flea problem, her owner wanted to help her feel comfortable again. But with the cost of veterinary care adding up, she was facing a heartbreaking decision: surrendering Nala and her two furry siblings, Karen and Raven, because she could no longer afford their care.

We were able to help make Nala’s treatment more affordable for her family. Addressing skin problems and other sources of discomfort is an important part of keeping pets healthy, and getting them the care they need can bring peace of mind to the people who love them, too.

Today, Nala gets to be happy at home with her furry siblings and the family who loves her. Her owner also knows she has somewhere to turn when her pets need care.

Financial limitations shouldn’t force families to choose between their pets’ health and keeping them together. Through affordable and compassionate veterinary care, we’re working to keep pets healthy and together with the people who love them. 🐾

We’re incredibly grateful to be a grantee of the PetSmart Charities Accelerator initiative!

The support goes far beyond funding. Through monthly cohort groups and the Basecamp community, we have access to resources, ideas and connections that support our work year-round.

Once a year, grantees come together for an incredible event focused on topics ranging from medical care and financial sustainability to technology and infrastructure — all with a shared goal of advancing access to affordable veterinary care for vulnerable pets and the people who love them.

And later this month, PetSmart Charities will be visiting us right here in Cincinnati! We’re looking forward to welcoming them and continuing to learn, connect and grow alongside this incredible network.
