🐾 Did you know we carry raw dog food?
A lot of you are feeding The Farmer's Dog or Freshpet (the fridge rolls from Kroger/grocery stores - but a lot of you probably didn't realize we also carry Blue Ridge Beef, a raw frozen dog food, right here in our freezers.
Here's how it stacks up:
✓The Farmer's Dog: $2.60–$21+ per day depending on your dog's size (most mid-size dogs run $150–$300+/month)
✓Freshpet: ~$5–$6/lb in stores, roughly $2/day for small dogs up to $10+/day for large breeds
✓Blue Ridge Bee f: $8.99-$12.99 for a 2 lb tube ($4.50-$6.50/lb), or $4.04-$5.85/lb when you buy 15 tubes (10% off)
Small dog: roughly $1.35–$2.45/day (as low as ~$1.20/day buying in bulk)
Large dog: roughly $7.20–$13.00/day (as low as ~$6.45/day buying in bulk)
The big difference: Blue Ridge Beef is 100% raw meat, bone, and organ — no grains, no fillers, no added carbs or gums (their "Complete" line is the one exception, which adds a small amount of produce/supplements for a complete-and-balanced blend). Freshpet and The Farmer's Dog are great cooked/fresh options, but they do include things like oats, rice, peas, or pea protein to round out the nutrition profile.
⭐Bottom line: you can get a local, raw option for LESS than what you're paying for grocery-store or mail-order subscription food — no shipping fees, no waiting on a delivery truck, just walk in and grab it!
If you've been curious about raw feeding or just want to see what we've got, swing by and check out our freezers!
Note that Blue Ridge Beef also has a feeding calculator on their website to help you figure out the right portion size for your dog.
