Shrimp is working hard to get back to public access training! In this session, they're working on increasing handler focus when people reach out to touch, engaging with his person rather than the stranger. While we wish everyone just followed the rules, preparing dogs for rude humans comes with the territory.

Here's your reminder: don't touch any dog that isn't yours without permission! If a dog looks like they're working, even if they're not wearing a vest, assume their job is more important than saying hello to you.

Pups and Pumpkins returns!!

When you think "fall, family fun" we hope this event is top of mind! P&P has something for everyone from your kids to your dogs, even for you! Games, activities, prizes, vendors, a costume contest, our Annual Bourbon Raffle (ticket sales will start soon), pumpkin painting, and more!

It's bound to be a *wicked* good time.

**Volunteer Spotlight**

Jennifer has been a member of our Board of Directors and Fundraising Committee for a couple years. In fact, if you've recently attended one of our annual fundraisers, you've seen her working concessions, always with a glowing smile.

Aside from being the best realtor in Northern Kentucky, Jennifer loves gardening and has recently gotten into pickleball. She is also an adventure enthusiast! From hiking, traveling to every national park she can, and scuba diving, her life philosophy is, "Never say no to a good invitation!" Pair with that her love for dogs (her own, Marlie, and others!) seen through her years of work in rescue and with CCAA, Jennifer is one incredible woman.

Her consistent work to improve events and to connect CCAA in the community as well as her kindness, patience, and care make her an exceptional member of the team.

Thank you gor your time, knowledge, energy, and dedication to our mission, Jennifer. We love ya!

CCAA's Bourbon Raffle is back!

We are seeking donations of bottles of bourbon. If you have any unopened bottles of bourbon lying around that you would like to gift, we would gladly take it off your hands! If you're inclined to purchase a bottle, that's great, too!

This year's Bourbon Raffle will be drawn live at Pups & Pumpkins on October 10th. We will announce what's in the raffle no later than September 10th with how to purchase tickets to win! Don't worry, we will post some teasers ahead of time so you can see some of the donations you could win!

A huge thank you to Northern Kentucky Women Entrepreneurs for hosting another fun, engaging, and lovely event! Last night's Quarter Auction was a blast! Our team enjoyed every second of the event and hope that the winners enjoyed their prizes, too!

The event raised $1,304.50 for CCAA! We are blown away by your support and hope to see you again next year!!
