🏡🐾 OUR FINAL ADOPTION BOARD 🐾🏡

This week, we’re celebrating the animals who found their forever homes. ❤️ Each adoption represents a happy ending and a reminder of why we do what we do.

Sadly, this will be our last adoption board from our Spencer County location. With the closure of our Spencer County facility, all of our remaining animals have been transferred to our Evansville ITV location, where we will continue working to find them loving forever homes.

While this chapter is coming to an end, the lives we have touched over the years will always be part of our story. 🐾❤️

To everyone who has supported us throughout the years—THANK YOU.

❤️ To our incredible fosters who opened their homes and hearts.
❤️ To our adopters who gave animals their forever families.
❤️ To our dedicated volunteers who gave their time and energy.
❤️ To our generous donors who helped provide the food, medical care, shelter, and everything in between.
❤️ And to every single person who shared our posts, liked a photo, commented, tagged a friend, or helped spread the word about an animal in need.

You may never know how many lives were changed because you took a moment to share a post. 🥹🐾

Thank you for being part of our village.
Thank you for believing in the animals.
And thank you for standing beside us through the years.

The Spencer County chapter may be closing, but our commitment to the animals continues in Evansville. ❤️

🐾 Once ITV, always family. 🐾

With gratitude,
It Takes A Village Rescue

🚨 Second Round of Spencer County Dogs Have Arrived at the Evansville ITV location! 🐾

As we unloaded our beloved pups at the Evansville ITV location, we are filled with hope. Hope that they will find forever homes in a location with more foot traffic. Our teams are dedicated to doing the best for these pups. Please follow It Takes a Village No-Kill Rescue page to keep up with our Spencer County animals!

To give more insight on each animal, here are some details for each dog unloaded in this clip.

- Plow: This handsome blue pit was found as a stray at the Patronville caution light back in January during the snow storm. He's looking for a loving family to call his own!

- Zeus Maximus: A striking black pit mix, Zeus was surrendered by the family of his owner from Rockport after their passing. He’s ready to bring joy to a new home.

- Amelia: This sweet black mixed breed was rescued after we received a dispatch call about a stray dog by the river this past weekend with the air show was about to start. She’s eager for some love and attention!

- Wally: Our charming hound mix, Wally, was also a dispatch call from Santa Claus. He’s currently being treated and healing from flea dermatitis and is ready for a fresh start.

If you’re interested in fostering or adopting any of these wonderful dogs, applications can be found at ITVrescue.org. Let’s give these pups the loving homes they deserve! 🐶❤️

🚨 FOSTER HOMES NEEDED — TRANSFERS ARE BEGINNING 🚨

We are beginning the process of transferring the animals currently at our Spencer County location to our Evansville Rescue Center, and we urgently need foster homes to help us make room.

Every animal placed into a foster home opens up valuable space and helps make this transition safer and less stressful for the animals in our care.

🐾 If you have ever considered fostering, now is the time. Even temporarily opening your home to one dog or cat can make a tremendous difference.

Please help us get these animals settled, safe, and into loving foster homes as we begin this transition. ❤️

Apply to foster at itvrescue.org.
We will be open Friday 12-5 and Saturday 10-3.

Please share—we need our community behind these animals right now. 🐶🐱❤️

🐾 AN IMPORTANT UPDATE FROM IT TAKES A VILLAGE RESCUE 🐾

The Spencer County It Takes A Village page will be shutting down on Monday, September 22, 2026.

While this chapter is coming to an end, our mission is not. ❤️ The animals who have been part of ITV will continue to matter, and our commitment to helping dogs and cats in need remains as strong as ever.

We encourage all of our Spencer County followers to like and follow our main It Takes a Village No-Kill Rescue page, as well as our Daviess County It Takes A village Rescue page, so you can continue seeing all of the wonderful dogs and cats waiting for their forever homes. 🐶🐱🏡

To everyone who has supported our Spencer County location—whether you adopted, fostered, volunteered, donated, shared a post, or simply cheered us on—thank you. Your support has helped give animals a second chance, and that is something we will always be grateful for.

Although the doors of ITV to this location are closing, the work continues, the mission continues, and the animals still need all of us. ❤️🐾

Please continue to follow, share, foster, adopt, and support ITV as we move forward together.

🚨🐾 WE NEED YOU, THEY NEED YOU, AND WE NEED YOU NOW! 🐾🚨

Effective immediately, It Takes A Village Rescue and the Spencer County Board of Commissioners will be parting ways.

There will be time to talk about changes and what comes next. Right now, our only concern is the animals.

❤️ Once an ITV animal, ALWAYS an ITV animal. ❤️

And we mean that with everything we have.

We will NOT leave a single animal behind.

Every dog and cat currently in our care at our Spencer County location will remain an ITV animal. We are preparing to move ALL of them to our Evansville Rescue Center.

But we have a problem — we need somewhere for them to go.

Our Evansville Rescue Center is already caring for animals who desperately need homes, and now we are preparing to welcome even more.

🙏 WE NEED FOSTERS — IMMEDIATELY.

If you have ever thought about fostering… this is the moment we need you.

If you have room for one more dog on your couch, a spare room for a cat, or simply the ability to give an animal a safe place to land temporarily, please step up for us now.

Come to our Evansville Rescue Center today through Saturday and pick out an animal to foster.

🐾 One foster home means one kennel opened.

🐾 One open kennel means another animal has somewhere safe to go.

🐾 And every person who says YES gets us one step closer to bringing every single one of our animals safely home.

We made a promise to these animals the day they became part of ITV. We will keep that promise.

We aren’t walking away from them.

We aren’t leaving them behind.

We are bringing them with us. Every. Single. One.

But right now, we cannot do this without you.

Please foster. Please adopt. Please share this post. Please help us make room.

Our animals are counting on us — and right now, we’re counting on YOU. ❤️🐾
