I’m still making fresh, healthy dog food to add to the healthy Natures Recipe dry kibbles.
I use:
Hamburger 90% lean (make it into bite size meatballs instead of fine-chopped)
Chicken breasts grilled in butter (cut into 1/2” cubes)
Strawberries
Blueberries
Mixed frozen veggies (beans, carrots, corn, broccoli , cauliflower , zuchini, and butter squash)
Additional heavy dose of green beans
100% pure pumpkin
Rice (boiled in water and chicken broth)
This photo is everything mixed together before adding the rice.
Put 2 cups into a sandwich bag. Keep a 5-day supply in the refrigerator and freeze the rest.
For my three dogs, I add 2/3 of a cup with 1 1/3 cups of dry kibbles so each furball gets 2 cups for breakfast and 2 cups for dinner. This uses one sandwich bag for each meal
The salmon kibbles from Natures Recipe is a very healthy food and is available at walmart. Adding this gives the dogs, beef, chicken and fish and vegetables and fruit.
My dogs love hanging in the kitchen during prep time and enjoy the snacks I toss their way from each phase of the cook. They especially love the frozen carrots. **they really love fresh baby carrots as a treat too. They’ll eat 3-4 every time, but give them one at a time so they have time to chew/cruch them really good.
Hope you and your pups are doing great! They’ll love this food mix and it will keep them healthy and shiny.
