Matted doesn’t always mean we can brush it out.

Sometimes dematting is possible, but comfort comes first. In many cases, the kindest option is to shave and start fresh. 🐶✂️

Ask your groomer for recommendations on the best at home grooming tools to keep tangles from forming between appointments. Brushing can be a bonding experience for you, your pup will love you for it too!

Matting happens — but prevention makes a huge difference. 🐾

In some cases, we may be able to safely work through and de-mat certain areas, but it isn’t always the best or most comfortable option for your dog as it can take well over an hour to safely remove them.

Regular brushing and combing at home, along with staying on a consistent grooming schedule, is the best way to help keep the coat healthy, comfortable, and tangle-free. 🤍

When in doubt, ask your groomer what brushing routine and tools are best for your dog’s coat!
