The stallions that I have bred to over the years were all picked for a specific reason. Some were completely different from the others, and a few broodmares were bought already bred.
Every cross was chosen with intention. The stallions I personally selected all had a goal behind them and a reason why I believed in them. But one of the biggest factors in finalizing those choices wasn’t just the pedigree, talent, or accomplishments — it was the people behind them.
Having stallion owners who are kind, humble, supportive, and genuinely want to see others succeed makes all the difference. Good programs are built on more than horses alone, and I’ve been incredibly thankful for the owners who have answered questions, shared knowledge, cheered others on, and supported dreams along the way.
I cannot tell you how many phone calls, personal messages, and texts I’ve had with stallion owners throughout my learning experience in the breeding industry that have left me with nothing but gratitude.
One of my very first conversations was with Dash Ta Fame’s owner, and I cannot even begin to explain how much knowledge, advice, and encouragement she passed along to me. Those conversations and experiences have stuck with me over the years, and they’re a reminder that this industry is at its best when people are willing to help one another grow.
