Possibly the last ride with Benji (hopefully) but I had to do the last thing on my checklist which was jump him … and really ride him bridle-less and it all went Better than I hoped. He tried at the jumps, minus knocking them a few times BUT I’d rather lazy and quiet for starting out rather than running anxious. And why not just throw him over it again without a bridle.
I love this horse I sure hope his maybe new family loves him just as much 💙

Jilly went through the motions today!
Better walk and trot out but she was getting sticky to get into the lope so Tag helped drive on the ground and she stepped right into it!
Then I decided to just go for it so we walked to the around and played with the bridge and poles to end the good ride… Super smart willing filly.

Ryan traded 4 walls of the arena for some wide open spaces 😂 he has been a little unimpressed so far but I’m so thankful that he’s getting this life exposure and experience!

Benji is in his element doing his cowboying job. He’s pretty solid on the heel side and is forgiving.
I adore this horse and I’m excited to see what the next week brings for him
I am extremely grateful to Joel and Lilli for putting some time on him between roping and the rodeo exposure. They both deserve credit for giving Benji some new life experiences and I know they’ll miss him as much as I will 🥰

My one and only goal with him was to get Up on him without having a meltdown (either of us 🤣🥴)
Fred’s a c**t that gets offended really easily and he’s gotten so much better since we first got him.
The hands on has gained his confidence but he’s one of those c**ts you just gotta move on and not nit pick too much. He gets frazzled and wants to be dramatic so I’ve just been treating him like he knows the ground work and just moved on.
He’s handled saddling really well and after a short time lapse of working on stepping up, I was confident he was accepting of me being on his side and then finally on top.
Still love his big kind eyes he does want to please he’s just a little more unsure but he’s going to be Cool.
