Moosey meets the nighboor! Now this has been a tough one!

Moose and his female neighbor didn't get started on the right foot the first day he came home was the last time she has been able to pet him!

Now look at them today!! They still have some work to do to be able to meet without a protocal in place and for the neighbor to be welcomed inside but this is a beautiful fist step!!🐾

Moosies mom is not on social media but wanted to leave a review so we improvised!! 🧡

Help me congratulate Jada on completing basic obedience! 🎓

Jada is a very intelligent excited puppy! Through our basic obedience class her and her mom learned how to channel that excitment onto appropriate outlets! 🐾

Jada is so excited to learn more with my Mentee, while im in Arizona!!

Seb's Graduation Pt.2🎓

Seb went on a Graduation stroll through the farmers market today he met some please and didn't jump, saw some dogs and kept his cool!🐾

Like any dog there is always more to learn and dogs love to learn more especially Seb. He loves "going to work" and while Im in Arizona he will be "going to work" with my Mentee! 🧡

Rockys turn to go to work and meet Seb!

While Goliath is better and gently communicating to other dogs Rocky loves to play so we had Seb and Rocky do some parallel walks/ circle walks, then 3 sec meeting to see how they would do together.🐾

Circle walks allow the dogs to smell where the other has been to get acquainted with each others scent. Parallel walks allow dogs to relax a bit before being let loose to play together. We would walk them closer and closer until they were ready to meet, at that point we allowed for 3 seconds of sniffing before calling them back to their owners.

3 second meet and greet alow for enough time for the dogs to introduce them selves but not too much time so nothing escalates if they show negative body language to each other.

Seb and Rocky got hot quickly and didn't play too much but being able to be neutral around other dogs is even better training! 🧡

Take your dog to work day mean my dogs are the ones working!!🐾

Goliath is not used in my training too often due to her size. She is great at showing dogs how to dog. She teaches body language and is very gental about comunicating when she has had enough.

Seb was the perfect gentleman, listening to her when she needed space, leaving her alone when she would turn away, and only went in for butt sniffs. 🐽

Although Goliath doesn't want to play with puppies anymore this didn't mean Seb didn't try but he was very understanding when she would walk away and disengage from his efforts.

This video shows Sed going in for a gentel greeting and walking away when Goliath had enough! 🧡

I know you guys have been missing your Moosie updates! 🫎

Today I was a groomer to help his owner (who has 2 broken wrist) Moose did great and even rolled on his back to make sure we got the best spots on him!!

Rolling on is back is a great sign on trust he even let me roll him back and forth to get the big knots out of his fur. 🐾

Moose also met 2 NEW PEOPLE this week with out me there. This shows he is growing in his confidence and is becoming more relaxed!! 🧡

Updated my "place" cue as I learn more i change the way I train.

I used to lure to a place but have found that waiting for the dog to make the decision for them self helps them learn alot faster!!

Back training the drop it cue!

Most cues we first teach what we are asking then add the cue in once the dog is doing it consistently.

Not with "drop it" this cye we start with teaching them your cue for drop it means a treat is comming so they need to clear out there mouth for a tasty treat!!
