Hello everyone! 👋
I think it's about time I reintroduce myself, especially now that we've had so many new followers join us! ❤️
A lot of my new followers are from my hometown (Verde Valley, AZ), where I'll be moving back to very soon! 😁
Most of you remember me as a little girl, but so much has happened since then!
I married an amazing man in the Army, moved to southern Arizona, and that's where my dog training journey really began. I even tried grooming for a while... let's just say it wasn't for me! 😂
Instead, I found Animal Behavior College and began studying to become a professional dog trainer. Just as I was about to graduate and begin training dogs full-time, God blessed us with our baby boy. 👶❤️
At the same time, the military moved us to Texas, so my first year there was spent either pregnant or caring for a newborn.
When my son was six months old, I found my very first client, Lucy! Her mom was a fitness coach for my husband's unit. The military community has been such a blessing, and without it, I'm not sure I ever would have had the opportunity to turn my education into a career.
During our three years in Texas, my business grew faster than I ever imagined. Just as I was getting comfortable, the military called us to our next adventure... Maine!
To all of my Maine followers and clients, you have helped me grow so much as both a trainer and a person. It has truly been an honor to work alongside each of you. While living here, I earned three additional certifications and can't wait to continue my education once we're settled back in Arizona.
I also want to give a special thank you to some incredible dogs and families who have been part of my journey:
🧡 Lucy: my very first client! Now she even has a baby brother she's learning to be gentle with through my Kids Around Dogs program.
🧡 Debbie: my first reactive dog case. She went from struggling around other dogs to successfully living with another dog for the past couple of years!
🧡 Ruby: my very first client here in Maine.
🧡 Ben (formerly Fury): my first aggression rehabilitation case.
🧡 Acadia: the first case after loosing my Chasie Wasie.
🧡 Pepper: my most challenging case to date, (but I love a good challenge) who has taught me just as much as I've taught her. Watching her become calmer and more relaxed on walks has been incredibly rewarding.
🧡 Moose: my longest-running client in Maine. We've worked together on and off for over a year, and he is truly a transformed dog.
🧡 Zona: not a dog but my wonderful mentee who I felt like was teaching me more than I was teaching her. I can't wait to see her become a better trainer than I am, and be able to say I had a little part in that!!
To every client who has trusted me with your dog... thank you. Every dog has taught me something new, and every family has helped shape the trainer I am today.
I'm so excited to see what Arizona has in store for me as I return home with years of experience, education, and a passion for continuing to learn and grow.
