Breeding Announcement: Cracker Boy x Roux

This morning our Rocking M’s Roux was bred via AI to Ingram’s Cracker Boy, foundation dog of Rocky Point Catahoulas.

Roux is our foundation female, who loves anything from hogs to small game. She was a great hog hunter before we retired her and has done quite well at NALC. She has earned several placements in treeing, B-bay, and conformation, along with high-point female in treeing and reserve high-point female in B-bay and treeing. She typically falls within the top ten of treeing and B-bay after each trial. Besides her intense working drive, we adore this dog’s sweet nature and easygoing personality. Cracker Boy was a NALC Quint Grand Champion of Champions who has produced many exceptional offspring. He was also a versatile working dog and an ace companion. More information about him can be found here:

Our fingers are crossed hard for this breeding to take- it’s always a bit of a gamble with frozen semen.

We’d love to get a waiting list started while we wait to confirm pregnancy. If Roux is confirmed pregnant, we expect puppies around September 2. Please contact us for additional info or to get on our waitlist. Once pregnancy is confirmed, we will begin accepting deposits to hold spots.

We have an NALC registered 1-year-old puppy (b. April 2025) we are looking to rehome as an active companion, farm dog, or sport buddy.

She is out of my Roux x Blu breeding. We call her RJ. Only reason we are rehoming is that we kept 3 pups to evaluate and would like to focus on the other two puppies. We believe RJ would do great in a home with a bit more individual attention.

RJ gets along with other dogs that she has been acquainted with, she loves people and kids, but is a bit shy at first. Once she warms up she is friendly and wiggly. She loves to run and play and likes to get in the water.

RJ is UTD on vaccines and has been given monthly heartworm prevention since 8 weeks of age. She can be spayed before leaving.

I am happy to provide more details to anyone interested.

A year ago these crazy puppies were born and we, also crazy, kept three. Indie, RJ, and Bruin. Year one has been all about learning how to be a dog. They have a few short hunts under their belts, are used to loading up in the box, and wearing tracking collars. Now it’s time to get serious! Sink or swim, kids!

LA Copperhead’s Hoss (“Hoss Man”)
July 24, 2021 - April 10, 2026

We are devastated to announce the passing of our best boy, Hoss. He died suddenly on Friday morning while hunting, although his death was not hog related. Although we are not sure of the why, we are comforted knowing that Hoss passed instantly without suffering while doing what he loved.

Hoss was born at our home and he was chosen as our keeper almost instantly. He was a confident yet goofy puppy and so much fun to raise. He got along well with the other dogs and never lost his playful nature. He loved the girls and loved attention and pets.

As Hoss grew we realized that he was making a fine example of his breed, a handsome dog with great working drive. Not only was Hoss one of our best hog dogs, but he was an excellent trial dog. I will never forget the April 2024 NALC trial when I was very pregnant and sent him into the B-bay competition. Hoss laid down an amazing run and then called right out to me and let me clip the leash on him without fuss. I believe that he knew that I wouldn’t be able to chase him around the pen and he was looking out for me. Hoss came home with High Point Male in B-bay that weekend.

Although there will never be another dog like Hoss, we were so fortunate to have him for almost five years. We will never forget our Hoss Man.
