Here’s to stewardship.
We know that everything we have is given by God. He is the Builder, we are called to do the work and steward what He places in our hands.

Only God can build a legacy. We’re just honored to be part of the work.

“Unless the LORD builds a house, the work of the builders is wasted. - Psalm 127: 1

These girls look like they are about to POP! They do, but it's not from being heavy-bred; it's due to One of the great things about these Senepol.... Gut Capacity!

Gut Capacity is a huge contributing factor in successful grass-based genetics. A cow that can eat large amounts of grass will help her thrive and reproduce on lower-quality forage.

When the grass is strong, or there has been lots of rain, it's not as big of a deal, but when it's dry, or the grass is overmature, it can mean the difference between a cow raising a nice calf while breeding back and an open cow with a poor calf.

When looking at cows to buy or keep in the herd, Gut Capicity is one thing that is really important to us.

We want cattle that thrive on grass, that will reproduce and raise a good quality calf every year.

We are so thankful to have these cattle and genetics in our growing program!

Snapped this photo of these two from the other evening and had to share!

These two currently have calves on them, should be bred back to calve in April/May and are developed on Grass, salt, and the occasional alflafa cube to keep them coming up.

This is the type of genetics you can build a program on that will last for generations! 💥
