Upcoming Day of Compassion

Please start planning on how you would like to participate. I can’t think of a better way to honor your beloved companion 💙💜❤️💛💚

The Foundation will be collecting pet food at TJO this Saturday 10/24!

The Reese Pet Food Initiative focuses on getting pet food into local food pantries to help the community. Our goal is to reduce surrenders due to a lack of resources and reduce the number of emaciated animals coming into TJO.

We are also holding a 24-hour online giving campaign to replenish the Reese Fund. This fund exists so the shelter never has to say no to treatment because of cost. Severe neglect and abuse cases can cost significant amounts, but we are here to make sure they can get a second chance. 🧡

We will have some exciting announcements to share Saturday (actually you’ll get the first one Wednesday) as we kick off this Reese Day of Compassion!

We know that saying goodbye to your beloved pet companion is not something that can always be pre-planned. We also know that weekends work better for some families. That is why at Paws Finding Peace, we offer assistance 7 days a week. The amazingly kind and compassionate Dr. Calvin works on Sundays to assist pet families in need of our services. 💜💙❤️💚

Drs. Lauren and Calvin attended the International Association for Animal Hospice and Palliative Care (IAAHPC) three-day virtual conference this weekend. They attended seminars on pain management, grief support, quality of life assessment tools, supporting diverse religious and spiritual faiths and much more. They have already started to share what they learned with the rest of our team at Paws Finding Peace.

This event will be held "drive thru" style in the back of the South Hadley Police Department. There will be no need to get out of your cars as there will be plenty of volunteers to assist you.

Please use the original container for the meds, feel free to remove the label or scratch out your information if you like. You can also use a ziplock bag to dispose of the medications in the bin making sure it is sealed closed. DO NOT throw loose medications in the box.

We are thrilled to have been able to donate pet oxygen masks to the Blandford Fire Department. We ordered the pet oxygen mask kits from the MVMA Charities to donate to the awesome volunteer fire department in Blandford.
