🐾 WISHLIST WEDNESDAY 🐾

Meet Athena! This gorgeous 5-year-old Husky mix with a stunning black sable and white coat is still waiting for her forever home. 💕

Athena is the perfect mix of playful energy and love. She adores people, makes friends easily, and thrives on attention and affection. Like many Huskies, she can get a little jumpy when she’s excited, so she’d do best with older children and an active family who enjoys daily walks and outdoor adventures.

✨ Athena’s adoption fee is fully sponsored by Frank and Terry Glazewski! ✨ A huge thank you to Frank and Terry for their generosity. Sponsors like you make it possible for dogs like Athena to find their families. We are so grateful! 🙏🧡

📍 Come say hi to Athena, she can’t wait to meet you! 🐕💛

This week, we’re also asking for your help with our shelter wishlist:

🐶Puppy Pads
🧴 Clorox wipes
🧻 Paper towels
🧼 Disinfectant spray
🐱 Diamond Naturals cat food
🥫 Friskies wet food
🍼 Kitten wet food
💩 P**p bags
🦮 Dog Collars
🦴 Kirkland treats

Every donation helps us care for the animals waiting for their families. Thank you for your support! 🧡

🐾❤️Our Battle of the Businesses challenge has officially wrapped up, and we are beyond blown away by the love, generosity, and heart shown by our local business community!

🏆 DRUMROLL, PLEASE... 🏆
A huge congratulations to our Battle of the Businesses Champion: Matson & Isom Technology Consulting! 🥳🎉

Our three challengers went above and beyond for our shelter pets, bringing incredible energy to the drive and mobilizing our community to make an extraordinary impact. 🐶🐱

From stocking our pantry with high-need supplies to driving critical donations, their dedication to local animals in need was inspiring to watch.

While there were bragging rights on the line, this was truly a competition where everyone wins—especially the animals in our care. Together, our participating businesses helped generate $3,500 in vital pet food, supplies, and donations for Butte Humane Society! 🎉🐾

A massive, heartfelt THANK YOU to all 3 incredible businesses who stepped up, opened their doors, and rallied their networks to care for our shelter animals. It truly takes a village to save lives, and we could not fulfill our mission without partners like you! 🙌✨

To our amazing community: Please support the local businesses that support our shelter! When you choose to shop, hire, and partner with local champions like M&I Royal Aire 👑 Golden Valley Bank you’re investing back into a community that protects its most vulnerable animals.

From every dog, cat, puppy, kitten, and all of us at BHS—thank you to everyone who dropped off supplies, donated online, and cheered on our competitors! 🐾❤️

🥟💕 ADOPTED! 💕🥟

Dumplin has found her forever family! 🎉

This sweet, silly 1-year-old Pit Bull mix girl with a big heart and plenty of puppy energy has officially gone home. No more waiting at Butte Humane Society, because now she gets walks, playtime with her favorite toys, and a family who includes her in all the fun. 🐾❤️

Thank you to everyone who shared her post, came to meet her, and showed her kindness while she waited. Every share and every visit helps pets like Dumplin get one step closer to home.

Dumplin, we’re so happy for you, and we can’t wait to hear about all your adventures! 🏡

There are still so many wonderful animals at Butte Humane Society hoping to be next. Could your family be the one? 💛

Meet Shilo & Odee! 🩶🤍🖤

This bonded pair is looking for a home together, and they’re hoping you’ll be the one to give them their happily ever after.

Shilo is a striking 4-year-old short-haired cat with a white coat and black markings. Odee is a handsome 10-year-old gray tabby with white markings. Both boys can be a little shy and nervous when meeting new people, but they’ve found comfort in each other, and that bond is something special. Once they feel safe, the sweet personalities hiding behind that initial shyness begin to shine.

What these two need is simple: time, patience, understanding, and love. They aren’t looking for anyone to rush them. They’re looking for a caring person or family who will let them go at their own pace and earn their trust. Senior cats like Odee have so much love left to give, and Shilo is ready to show just how sweet he can be.

Adopting a bonded pair means double the love, double the cuddles, and two best friends who already have each other’s backs. 🐾❤️

Odee and Shilo are waiting for you at Butte Humane Society. Could you be the one to keep them together and give them the forever home they deserve?

It’s Feature Fur-iday, and Ladybug has been ADOPTED! 🎉

This sweet 1-year-old tan and white Shar Pei/Pit Bull Terrier mix came to us with so much love to give. She adored being around people, soaking up pets, and hanging out right by her favorite humans’ sides. Now she’s got a family of her own to shower with all that affection, and we couldn’t be happier for her!

Ladybug’s adoption fee was sponsored by Subaru of Chico as part of the Subaru Loves Pets initiative, and we are so grateful for their support in helping pets like her find their forever homes. 💙 Thank you, Subaru of Chico!

Congratulations to Ladybug and her new family! We’re going to miss your sweet face, but we can’t wait to hear about all your adventures. 🏡🐶

Remember Frankie?! 🐾 This smart boy is almost done with his four-week board-and-train in the TLC (Training, Love, and Care) Program at Dog Trainer and he is doing absolutely amazing!

The TLC Program is a special partnership between Butte Humane Society and K9 Ridgeside Norcal designed to give dogs who have been overlooked in the shelter a second chance. Through this four-week program, dogs get professional training, build confidence, and learn the tools they need to thrive in a forever home.

The best part? Every single dog who has completed the TLC Program has been adopted! 🎉

We are so grateful to our community partner Dog Trainer for making this out-of-the-box program possible. We can’t wait to see Frankie graduate and find the loving home he deserves! ❤️

Meet Bob the Builder! 👷💛

This handsome 4-year-old chocolate Lab mix is smart, energetic, and happiest when he’s with his people. Bob is heartworm positive and needs to finish treatment before he’s fully cleared for adoption, but he doesn’t have to wait in the shelter to start living his best life. Through our Homeward Bound program, he can settle into a home while he completes treatment and waits for his neuter procedure.

Looking for a sweet, active pup to join your family and help him on his journey? Bob the Builder may be your guy! 💛

It’s Wishlist Wednesday with Koda! 🤍

This stunning 5-year-old Siberian Husky mix (our best guess!) has a beautiful black sable and white coat that matches his vibrant personality. He’s outgoing, playful, and happiest when he’s part of the action, whether that’s walks, exploring the outdoors, or just hanging out with his people. Koda was transferred to us from another shelter, so we don’t know much about his past, but we do know he’s incredibly loving and ready for his next chapter. He’d thrive in a home that can match his energy with plenty of exercise, play, and mental stimulation.

Ready for a fun, affectionate, spirited companion? Come meet Koda at Butte Humane Society! 💙

Not ready to adopt? You can still help Koda and his friends by checking out our wishlist this week and donating our most needed items:

🥛 KMR (Kitten Milk Replacer)
🐈 Disposable litter boxes
🐟 Friskies wet cat food
🍗 Diamond Naturals dry cat food
🦴 Kirkland dog treats

Drop donations off at the shelter during open hours or shop our wishlist at buttehumane.org/wishlist

Thank you for helping us care for every animal waiting for a home! 🐾
