My kids are my why. ❤️ Here’s today’s pickings all hand picked by these little hands, our stand will be overflowing with amazing come tomorrow, we are also going to be making our own pickles and salsa together so stay tuned for that post! SIDE NOTE; when you leave cash it goes to the kids, they get so excited to open the box and see what they can earn with their money from the stand!
Farm life isn't always easy, but it's one of the greatest classrooms I could ever give them.
Every day they help with the chickens, pick vegetables, and tackle whatever chores need to be done. They're learning that hard work matters, that responsibility isn't something to avoid, and that caring for animals and growing food takes commitment.
One of my favorite things is hearing them ask, "What chores can I get done?" before they ask for electronics. It reminds me that the lessons they're learning aren't just about farming, they're about character. They're learning that work comes before entertainment, that serving your family has value, and that the best things in life are worth putting effort into.
My hope isn't to raise perfect kids. It's to raise kind, capable, grateful, and hardworking people who know the value of showing up, keeping their word, and helping others without being asked.
For that, I'm incredibly thankful. These little hands won't stay little forever, but the values they're growing into will last a lifetime. ❤️🌱🐓
