All dogs are amazing. Some are amazingly cute and that would include our PEP Camper, Calli Rose, who is our September 4 DOG OF THE DAY (9-4-26). This little diva graduated from our foundations training course, Essential Life Skills, then came on over to our resort to join the PEP Camp fun! She and Stella (behind her and equally cute) were quite the playful pair. We don’t actually consider looks when we create our playgroups (we do consider size, play style and preferences, and energy) but an extra dose of cuteness sure makes for some extra sweet photos. 🌹 ❤️🐾

❤️ Reunited today at our resort… FORMER foster girl, Phoebe (right), and CURRENT foster dude, Reggie!

💜 Phoebe was adopted by Alina, one of our great teammates. We love this because Phoebe and Alina grew to be best friends while Phoebe was being fostered with us. We also love it because we still get to see Phoebe since she frequently comes to work with Alina!

🧡 Reggie, our beloved foster boy, is still with us We don’t know why this super friendly and silly boy hasn’t been scooped up by someone looking for a darling dude - and for Reggie’s sake we hope that happens soon. Of course, until he is adopted, Reggie is safe and sound with us and particularly happy when his good friend, Phoebe, comes to play. Please reach out if you’d like to learn more about adopting Reggie! He’s truly a diamond 💎 in the ruff.

These lookalikes are today’s DOGS OF THE DAY (9-3-26). Teddy (left) and Sophie (right) were both at our resort today and at times we had to do a double-take to be sure who was who! What’s interesting about this duo is that while they look very much alike, right down to their expressions here, they are completely different breeds. Teddy is a Bernerdoodle and Sophie is a Portuguese Water Dog (PWD)! While Bernerdoodles have been bred to be spunky, adorable companions (and this is particularly true of Teddy whose lovely parents were also our students), Portuguese Water Dogs have been bred to work! Here’s a little information this interesting breed:

“The Portuguese Water Dog once lived all along Portugal’s coast, and was used to herd fish into nets, retrieve lost tackle, and act as a messenger between ships and shore. Fishermen counted on the strong and muscular dogs to be hardworking and seaworthy. They would ride in trawlers from the warm Atlantic waters of Portugal to the freezing cold waters off the coast of Iceland. Technology eventually laid him off from his job, but Porties are still used for water rescue.”

Even though Teddy is a Bernerdoodle, he does have a connection to Sophie’s PWD breed. His predecessor, Gino, was a PWD!

DUFFY THE DALMATION is today’s DOG OF THE DAY (9-2-26)! Duffy will be graduating from Puppy Kindergarten next week 🎓 and he’s already grabbed his SPOT at PEP Camp, our enrichment daycare for very cherished dogs 🎾. This darling Dalmatian pup has been welcomed to the team by his doggie mentors and his loving Canine Connection coaches. , we are so thrilled you’re part of The Canine Connection family! DOG OF THE DAY! 9-1-26. We took a little break on our daily DOD postings but on this first day of September, we’re back! We hope you enjoy daily practice of introducing the dogs that are at the heart of The Canine Connection community!

Today, meet Naya. This spirited pitty-shepherdy mix pranced her way into our classroom and hearts several months ago. Naya had recently been adopted from NW SPCA by the most amazing guardians who enrolled her in our Life Skills class along with Puppy Social. With some training in the basics and a chance ro build her social connections, a star ⭐️ was born.

How thrilled were we when we learned that this little dynamo was interested in PEP Camp, our enrichment daycare program for very cherished dogs.

Naya just completed her first full day of PEP camp and we bet this little dynamo is tired tonight! She run, jumps, and chases with the best of them. Go, Naya

🙌 We had such a super fun August at our training academy - fantastic students (puppies, dogs, and families!), engaging classes, and so many brags and learning successes!

🐶 Enjoy this line-up of August grads from these group classes: Puppy Kindergarten, Essential Life Skills, Acing Adolescence, and Shy Dogs Skills & Confidence.

🌟 We graduated 5 classes and a total of 30 dogs in August and we are so darn proud of every single one of them!! Every one was a shining star! And their families were a joy too! Such lucky dogs to have such wonderful guardians! 🌸

✅ But wait, there’s more! We also offer private coaching for dogs and people benefitting from a customized program or schedule and behavior consultations for dogs experiencing anxiety, fear, and stress, resulting in challenging behaviors.

We know our VIPs (Very Important Pooches) - we know their needs and quirks - right down to what they prefer to have streamed on the televisions in their suites. This note, left on the television in Reggie’s room, made me (Sarah) smile. Our resort team works from the heart, and if Reggie likes the Jellyfish channel, Reggie gets the television channel.
