75% of people will call me absolutely crazy for rushing in on dogs like Lucas—cropped ears, slobbering jowls, enough muscle to knock me off my feet, and a bark that can make me question every life choice I’ve ever made. 😂

But here’s the thing…

There is NOTHING as addictive as a Bully Smile. 🥹😀❤️

That moment when a dog who has been misunderstood, overlooked, abandoned, or scared finally realizes they are safe.

That first tail wag.
That goofy grin.
That look in their eyes when they realize someone chose them.
Those first zoomies

THAT is why I do it.

Call me crazy, I take this as a compliment now days!
But I’ll take crazy if it means one more bully gets the chance to smile.

Timmy has some difficulty walking and navigating everyday tasks on his own, but there’s something really special about him—when he is being held, he is completely calm, content, and relaxed. 🥹

Timmy is looking for someone who is willing to give him a little extra attention and care. He would absolutely love a person who doesn’t mind having a little Velcro buddy who wants to be carried around and stay close. ❤️

He’s not asking for much—just someone willing to understand his needs, be patient with him, and let him be the sweet little companion he wants to be.

Lucas sure was happy to see all of his friends at Chickamauga Veterinary Clinic today! 🥰 He knows he’s in good hands with the people who love him.

152 days of sitting here watching other dogs get chosen while Luke was passed by…over and over again.

And now, it is safe to say that Luke is officially THRIVING and living the life he was always meant to live. ❤️

Since being ADOPTED, this boy has gone camping, spent countless hours bonding with his new mom, and this weekend…they went paddle boarding. 🥹

If you saw me ugly crying happy tears in my car, these pictures are why.

To see the same boy who once roamed the neighborhood around the shelter after escaping…who was returned multiple times…who was overlooked by hundreds of people…now experiencing THIS life?

It’s nothing short of magical. ✨

This is why we do what we do.

This is why we keep going when the kennels are full, the bills are overwhelming, and the days feel impossibly long.

Because sometimes the dog who waits the longest ends up living the most extraordinary life. ❤️

I was advised to euthanize him on more than one occasion. I kept hearing “you will be stuck with him forever” or “he will never get picked” and I am so glad I could see the diamond in his beautiful eyes.

I am so incredibly grateful that we were able to connect the dots between Luke and his family. Grateful that they saw what so many others missed. And most of all, grateful that this boy finally gets to know what it feels like to be home.

Go live your best life, Luke. You waited 152 days for it. And buddy…you were worth every single one. 🐾❤️

At nearly 5 months old and 18 pounds, Arabella is a spunky, curious, and adventurous Pit Bull/Lab mix who is ready to find her forever family.

This girl loves to explore and investigate everything around her. She’s playful, confident, and always ready to see what adventure might be waiting around the corner. Arabella has the kind of personality that keeps you smiling—she’s silly, energetic, affectionate, and full of puppy charm.

She’s still very much a puppy, so her forever family should be ready for all the fun that comes with raising a young dog: continued training, structure, patience, socialization, and plenty of opportunities to burn off that puppy energy. In return, you’ll have an incredibly loving companion who will happily be your little adventure buddy. 💕
