Meet Miss Rosie. 💜
Rosie is a very anxious little girl. We don't know everything she's been through, but we believe she may not have been treated kindly in the past.
Because of that, she doesn't do well with strangers or hands near her face.
This is my third time caring for her, and seeing her trust me a little more each visit has been so rewarding.
One thing I've learned from pet sitting is that every dog is different. Some want belly rubs the second they walk through the door. Others, like Rosie, need patience, consistency, and the freedom to build trust on their own terms.
That's exactly how I care for every pup I watch. I don't expect them to fit into my routine, I take the time to learn theirs. Whether your dog is energetic, shy, anxious, or somewhere in between, they deserve individualized care, plenty of love, and someone who will meet them where they are.
Watching a nervous pup finally relax, ask for affection, or happily take a treat is one of the most rewarding parts of what I get to do.
Every pup deserves to feel safe. And that's always my goal.
If you're in Norwood Park, Edison Park, or the Northwest side, I'd love to help your pup feel right at home while you're away. Their home away from home.
