Mingus & Mayzie and Mabel

Mingus & Mayzie and Mabel Mingus [Yorkie/Chihuahua and we think Jack Russell] and Mabel Yorkie-Poo. New kitten is Millie. Mayzie went over the Rainbow Bridge on Sunday 9-15-2024.

Mingus & Mayzie brother and sister Chorkie Russell puppies - born March 2013 in a litter of 5 - Mayzie was an extra ("We'll take two"), and Mabel - Yorkie-Poo born September 2013, bound to be leader of the pack. In memorium: Minnie the deaf toy poodle - adopted by Kathy and Jon in 2012 - she was hard-of-hearing and had bad kidneys, but followed Jon as if he had steak in his pockets. Also the late Maximilian, part Maine C**n cat.

Update: The rescue was thrilled to share that "the court has ruled in favor of these 22 abused dogs", allowing them to find loving homes. Many are in foster homes recovering from malnutrition while learning how to trust humans and let their true personalities shine.

Elliot spent months learning how to walk on four prosthetic legs after being rescued from the streets of Cairo.

Then, two years later, his mom got a photo of another dog who looked just like him and had survived a similar ordeal. Zoe was fitted for prosthetics, too — and took her first steps almost immediately.

Now, both dogs are thriving in their forever home and working as therapy dogs, teaching people about kindness, resilience, and what it means to be unstoppable ❤️‍🩹
